Christa orders yarn once a year. She saves all year and places a hughe order. Those videos are great fun to watch. You get good ideas what to order. Danas Wanderlust Crochet bought from Ice Yarn. She calculated price per yard and compared it to similar yarn ie I Love This Yarn. Broken down per yard including shipping Ice was higher by the slimmer margin. Oh yes Christa is not a distributor of Ice Yarn

Christa from the Secret Yarnery lives in Kenya and doesn't have access to yarns locally very much. So ordering yarn about once a year in bulk (for better shipping prices) makes sense for her. I love Ice yarns. I find it easiest to search for what I want by category so it seems less overwhelming. I like the fact that they allow you to select Canadian funds when calculating your price so I don’t have to do the calculation myself and think a price is better than it actually is for me. The packaging also makes it easier to store in my shelves.

Omg I love Christa, she is the sweetest, has awesome videos and is not a distributor. Maybe give her channel another chance. Christa can only order yarn once a year from ICE yarns because she lives in Kenya and it’s hard to get yarn there. I personally love her rainbow organization of her yarn and belongings. I’m glad you order yarn. I get to live through you lol I’ve always wanted to order ice yarns just can’t afford just yet. Maybe one day. And yes ICE yarns is located in Turkey. Those are pretty colors you ordered. Especially the glitz one. ❤ Great choices. My dyslexic brain here has fits from their site. Iyou look things up by the yarn tags, it's easier. Also to know the real weight note fiber type, yardage and grams. Then you get a better idea of what you are getting. Also bag o day tends to show many of them to get a realistic idea of what they are really like. Grabby, roving, soft... You would love the galaxy cakes! Always a pleasure to hear you laugh!❤

I been to the ICE website twice and find it very confusing. I hate the ICE website. I will eventually try again. I especially liked the cotton acrylic yarn. I so into cotton blend yarns these days. Your symptoms you mentioned are also what I experience having ptsd. Mine is from the Navy, but it can occur with miscarriages and having a child with disabilities or diagnoses like adhd. Being an older mom my symptoms got worse after having a baby at 35. The stress is real & impacts my ability to feel overwhelmed easily.

I used ice yarn for an afghan and it came out so pretty.. I love their yarn. I wish I knew how to attach a photo of it.

I love ice yarns and I love ice yarn haul videos cuz their website is scary. The number on the bags I see in videos takes you directly to that yarn, so I actually start my shopping on someone's youtube channel. I also like to economize and I only order from ice maybe once a year, but huge orders because as the volume of your purchase increases, the relative cost of shipping goes down. Usually I aim at $3 / ball shipped, but I need to be able to buy in more bulk than I usually do to get that price. I enjoyed your review. It was fun.

I love Ice yarn for the beautiful colors and softness of their yarns. When you figure out the totals it is well worth it.! So many are very unique!

I’ve ordered from Ice Yarns quite a lot. Even taking the shipping costs into consideration, it still works out cheaper, per ball/skein than it does buying in the UK. I live in Manchester, UK and was in the city centre yesterday so popped into a store that sells branded yarn. I came out without any as it was so much more expensive. The only onus is being able to actually squish the yarn, and feel what it is like. I’ve got a couple of yarns from Ice Yarns that I don’t like. I bought some micro fibre thinking it would make great bathroom mats. When I washed it, it was so heavy and held onto the water. It wouldn’t spin in my washing machine. I’ve bought magic light and magic glitz which are lovely. I just need to find a sweater pattern that uses that same weight yarn and that I can get the correct tension with. I’m not good with maths and find it difficult if a yarn is slightly different in weight to the stated pattern.

I have a rule for my harn if my yarn basket is full i wont get new yarn till i am about half way down my yarn stash. Works for me as i now use all my yarn for pet blankets and i have no waste. The only exception to the rule is the blanket i'm making for my bed and i will need more soon.

I think too any website or even stores that are full of stuff everywhere as soon as you walk in with no order have that overwhelming effect on most people ❤

Love the bangs! Ice's website takes awhile to get comfortable with. Bigger screen seems to help me and lots of breaks! When I first started ordering from them I really didn't know what I was doing, now I just have loads of things on my to create list!

Good morning Jennifer. Glad you put an order in to Ice Yarns. I have yet to do it as i find there site really hard to navigate. It helps that you put the number of the yarn up sovif someone wants to order it they can go straight to bbn it. I so want some of the picasso rainbow yarn. One day!!

Maybe you could use a lightweight red with your rainbow sparkle to get the 4 weight you need as well as the red color you want 🤗

I agree with you that the website could be better. I have learned to now specifically type in the category I am looking for or use the drop down list to make it easier. But I have not been disappointed on my ICE orders. Will continue to order from them when making BIG purchases. BTW - the Kilo remark almost made me spit out my coffee, so thanks. 😂

Beautiful yarn. My very first Ice I used, I sounded exactly like you. It had alpaca in it and it had white hairs all through it. The entire time I was working with it I was constantly picking at it thinking it had hairs on it. It drove me crazy. I don't ever want to work with it again.

I've bought from Ice twice before and their yarn is fantastic! I agree shipping is a mother but the more you order the lower the yarn averages out to be.

I love ice yarns. Baby softly is one of my go tos. Super soft and squishy. There is also A LOT that you would recognize from so many other companies.

Hi there! Ice Yarns packs like this tobest protect the yarn while shipping. Very tight so it won´t pop open when misshandled, double layer of plastic so that the yarn is safer even when one of the layers get cut accidently and such. Packages are not carefully handled on the way, so they try to limit the possibility of damaged yarn. I love the yarn you picked! So pretty! ♥

One of my favorite yarns is the Harmony brand from Ice.

I order ice on Tuesdays. They have better deals. I got cotton for a top at$.25 a skein in a package of 8. i also got Picasso in 3 different colors. This helped bring done the price of shipping. I got my mystery package this morning. The yarn is very nice. I am having shoulder replacement, so will be awhile before o get to use it.

I made my first order from Ice this month as well. The shipping cost is high, but it was delivered from Turkey to my home in a suburb in Indianapolis in 2 days. 2 days! I loved everything I ordered as well. I’ll be saving my money to order from them again.

I enjoy Ice Yarn. They have sales all the time where you can get lower prices to make the shipping work out to less than $4 per skein. You can paint the bookshelves white to brighten up the space as well, or just paint the fronts and contact paper on back. So excited your redoing your space. It will make it more inviting to you and more exciting to go to work. I love ice yarns....they're worth the high shipping cost, but 4.40 a ball is very good.

If it would help, Christa puts links in her description boxes of most of her videos to products she enjoys using. Maybe that would narrow down what you look at first and keep the blanking out to a minimum? There is so much great stuff on their site! And there are tons of multi-colored yarns😍. Happy hunting😊.

I shop their closeouts. I get fantastic off season yarn for real cheap!

In my opinion, and I was actually diagnosed as ADHD, Ice Yarns' website is one of the more organized and easy to maneuver. It is totally categorized, in more ways than one! You just need to learn how it works and where everything is. If you ever need help with that, I'll be happy to. I've been buying from them for several years, almost exclusively. I am very familiar with their site and yarns. They pack it tight to cut on shipping costs, because international shipping is calculated by a weight/volume ratio - the higher of the two - otherwise you would have paid way more for the shipping. However, to the USA, if you make a larger order, they'll ship it in a box and at some point the cost of shipping per 3.5oz, actually decreases.

I’m not ADHD but still find the Ice Yarns web site difficult to navigate. But the yarn and prices are worth the struggle I think. And The Secret Yarnery is way too busy for my preferred quiet way of life . 😉
