The dumpsters around here are behind fences and have security cameras. The books are great , love horses , camping, gardens and homestead. Magazines are wonderful.

Those Hit cookies are GOOD. You got the good one with chocolate cream inside w vania outside. The other is van cream inside w choc cookie outside. Wish you could have recorded the stuff sorted and laid out. But i know that would have taken a long time and you guys were tired. Congrats on your haul. You guys deserve it.😀

Adam, toothpaste is excellent to bring clearness to your headlights...rub with a soft cloth with toothpaste on the cloth, then rinse and polish with a clean soft cloth like you have 2 brand new headlights. :) Happy for you and Staci

I just started dumpster diving. It is illegal in my town but if you don't make a mess and be cool the police are usually ok about it. Most of them actually understand. I got a pretty nice haul at Aldi today. I can't wait to see what other stuff I find on this journey.

In my town its legal to dumpster dive unless the business owner puts in a complaint with the police about having problems with dumpster divers making messes and other types of problems then and only then Can the police arrest you so when you go dumpster diving in this town it's like playing Russian roulette you never know if the business owner put in a complaint with the police I suppose the best thing to do in this situation would be to ask for permission however that's a long shot I don't think there's many people out there that would want you rummaging through their trash for a lot of different reasons years ago a friend of mine asked Little Caesars if he could go through the dumpster and get the pizzas they threw away and the manager said no we don't want you going through the dumpster but here we are about to throw these pizzas away you're more than welcome to them would you like something to drink

I'm a single mom on disability,n my son n I do this when we can,here in our dumpsters they throw cases of thing's,n it has been a blessing to us and there is no shame in it,n those who feel it is soon you will feel differently when food prices get worse ,but I enjoy watching you n love Stacy to death for I see me in her as I dive in n out for my kids and grandkids,n I'm 58,we haven't gotten sick yet n still alive lol,but she's totally awesome so be yourselves n ignore the negativity.for they have to live it to understand it.

I have to chuckle that you worry about turning off the flashlight when you’re getting out of the dumpster because you don’t want to be a beacon of light and yet all the noise you make in the dumpster is deafening. LOL OL

It's a good point. But passerbys can't hear the noise Karma and people on the other side of the parking lot a hundred yards away can't hear the noise. But everybody sees the light. It's weird, people don't like it but it's my thing LOL I get a lot of crap for it believe me

22 miles 35 dumpsters 3 hrs. I kept a journal when I dived. I made note of things I was wishing to find and put dates and places by them when I found them It was hugely interesting. Gratz on all that good stuff, books, food, shampoo, toothpaste and a grab bag to go through at home very cool. You goiong to tell us the miles dumpsters and time tomorrow?

Totally Awesome Haul tonight.. I like the Lodge Dutch oven Cookbook too. I raised chickens when I was younger and I hated them they ended up being mean ones the White Leggings. Alot of them lost thier heads in the outdoor house door. Have A Blessed Night

The Dutch oven cookbook is awesome.. We've always raise chickens and turkeys and other sorts of birds but recently our flock was decimated by a pack of coyotes. Once we move we do plan on building up another flock. We never had mean ones though. Although I've heard a few people say that about the leghorns.

Use that gray container in the dumpster.never mind it's cracked broken. Always wear gloves it's a must when dumpster diving against germs, you never know if you come across syringe needles and broken glass bottles for protection.gloves are handy and useful for all sorts of things around the house.

you guys are wonderful ! i've been catching up because i just recently found you ) Magazines with pictures like smithsonian/ national geo/ travel ones are awesome! i use images in collages & Junk Journals! the whole covid so far i'm high risk so i am very careful to stay away from other people :) I've seen divers take the bags from Ulta home to search thru them. some get lucky ;)

Staci, to sell your items, please try “OfferUp” (App Store) and “garagesale.com.” (Notice it’s garagesale not garagesales.) OfferUp is your local area and completely in pictures, which makes it easier to sell with no need to ship. Meet the buyer during the day at a very public place in a parking lot. Also, try garagesale.com which is the same-in your area and no need to deal with eBay’s fees and shipping. You can sell all your hauls locally. No fees like eBay and Amazon.

I agree. I have some other divers that use the offer up app and the fb market. They stopped using eBay because of the fees were too much. Staci check out these apps. Great haul. It's hard to make a living on eBay. Not just their fees, but when you include shipping it gets pretty bad. We do use the local apps and Facebook Marketplace to sell stuff. We actually sold a table just last night. I love making cash deals when there are no shipping or fees involved! That's the way to go.
