Celebrating Tesla's birthday by throwing some 210,000 watt arcs at his old Wardenclyffe tower site. The 3 million volt Tesla tower we brought is a 1/3 scale model of the 121ft towers we want to build for lightning research. We believe this is the first full-power test of Tesla's original Wardenclyffe ground system!

This video is buried on the web. It needs tags or something... This is by far the most beautiful TC I've ever seen love the modular secondary. I'd love to just see a schematic of driver components let alone the machine running in real life.. Absolutely superb I hope the twin TC's become reality.. Best regards, Martin M

@Mihály Tóth The prototype shown here is not a DRSSTC. It's just a straight-up resonant converter, based largely on the SNS modulator design described here: www.lod.org/misc/Resonant_Converter_HVPS_1998.pdf The primary circuit here has no resonant freq, so it's not a 'Dual Resonance' system like many coils are. This allows the coil to avoid large resonant capacitor banks, which would be prohibitively expensive at this scale.

The drivers are pretty straightforward -- 12 drivers driving 12 nested primary coils. Each driver is just an IGBT H-Bridge, similar to a motor drive. There are no reactive components in the primary, such as series capacitors or inductors, as the primary objective of this design study is to minimize cost and increase reliability.

and do you have any fancy gate drive or control scheme, i gues you dont want to publish any photos of them, no schematic of curse just how it looks and how it is done, i would think you did quite a professional solution, would be nice to see compared to the traditional design. would not have thougth that a nested design would work that nicely i would have tried to parallel couple the drivers into one primary.

yes they were on a extremely close path to the science/technology breakthrough I have been hoping for. the only thing I would suggest is that they do it exactly as Tesla did it to prove it actually works and can power more than just light bulbs. from this video the only thing I can see they're missing is doing it full scale with the copper ride going 200 ft into the ground making contact with the natural aquifer that the warden Cliff Tower is built over. once that is all complete you will see the same test Nikolai Tesla did there will apply as far as being able to light bulbs over a hundred yards away and with today's technology you will be surprised what else it will power. someone needs to do this the right way and have the funding to do it.!!

Very nice coil. The diff between this and Wardenclyffe Tower was Tesla was or had solved how not to have sparks fly out thru its top, as it is a waste of energy. Every Tesla Coil is on for a few seconds....makes one question why. Tesla's Wardenclyffe Tower was to be turned on continuously, so not even he would have stayed there with that much noise, at those levels, considering his hearing ability, as per his own writings. So this is a fallacy ppl are trying to sell to the public. His Tower was not producing sparks.

[Note: The aether doesn't exist per se; The Michelson-Morley expmt illustrates this.] Our wireless power setup simply uses ambient electric fields to convey energy from one point to another: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NfKOD0XqR14.html

This is so beautiful. Is it actually safe to walk under, as long as you don’t touch the components? It’s a crime that they tore down Tesla’s original tower, imho. The components couldn’t possibly have been as valuable elementally as the potential work products would have been. So stupid.

I am a student I am only 19 year old and I newly researched Tesla's tower and the thing that clicking my mind is that Tesla was not trying to transmit only voltages but trying to may be convert it into some sort of frequencies and they must be decoded or converted to electricity by next tower or devices as we know frequencies exist all over the world may be he was trying to use frequencies as power source these are my assumptions

Hook up a MIDI keyboard and controller to the drivers. Then you could play a tune. May I suggest "Axel F" which is highly recognizable and a good fit for this magnificant instrument.

You generated so much Volt you must have accumulated lots of "electric charge" at the top.Can you concentrate them on 1spot and shoot them out in a beam?

You can add a breakout point with a metal rod but it would just be a normal arc. It likely wouldn't make the arc much larger either.

@@voltariantechnologyinc.8594 I'm not talking about making arc larger I mean shoot out charges particle in a beam I mean lightning arc is like wave motion,each particle bouncing up/down or back/forth,they don't move out of position I'm talking about repelling them out

So what would it take to reach 1 billion volts?
@LightningOnDemand
@LightningOnDemand 4 года назад
Well, modern plastics can support about 7000 volts per inch along their outside surface if they're kept clean. So 1 billion volts divided by 7000 volts per inch gives a coil 142,857 inches, or 11,905 feet high. The 7000 volts per inch breakdown limit is something to keep in mind when studying claims of 1 million volt tabletop devices. ;>

Tesla promised power in the megawatt range. He got back more power then he put in!

Nonsense! There was never any free power in the physics sense. Only in the financial sense for customers. All transformers have losses, and the means of distribution offered by Wardrnclyffe was subject to inverse square loss like any radio transmitter. People seem to think Tesla operated in the upper strata above all others and somehow making reality out of fiction.

210kW? What the... What is a power supply and IGBT's?
@LightningOnDemand
@LightningOnDemand 2 года назад
Yes indeed, the drivers use IGBTs! There's 12 drivers total, you can see 6 on each side with the blue LED firing indicators. The coil tower is self-powered by internal batteries, as mains connections can be problematic with the heavy RF ground currents.

I think most think tesla wanted to used his first resonate transformer for wireless transmission of power but it wasn't if you look at the wardencliff tower it look different he had patents for another transformer that he believed created longitudinal EM waves you can search his patents and find it it works on the same principle but the secondary made quite different there is actually some fascinating research into scaler waves some Call them tesla waves but they are longitudinal EM waves don't look at the stupid new age healing crap when you search scaler waves you gotta dig some to find research but it truly is fascinating I'm am researching his last patent on transmitting electrical energy and going to build the device if it does produce longitudinal waves it should in theory transmit through a Faraday cage so fingers crossed but a discovery of something like longitudinal EM waves would change the way we communicate and transmit power fingers crossed and before you go saying it's bs build the device and try it don't take other people's word our science institutions have a bad habit of brushing things off that we can't explain but in reality we can't even correctly describe EM fields we know what it's doing and how to produce the. Bit we don't truly understand them in reality most of our stuff is like that our physics is just a guess and theory we are still newborns in the realm of physics we don't really know anything regardless if they tell you we do or not just because we can use things does not mean we understand them people do it everyday never dismiss something just because it's not understood

Look, I'm a knuckle dragger when it comes to this stuff, so forgive any non-sequitars, but while watching the video I suddenly remembered an early early experiment during the Space Shuttle days which saw them paying-out a long copper wire while in orbit. The thing was over-producing so much power, they had to jettison the thing, as it stood a danger to the Shuttle. Many years after that I was listening to the original Art Bell radio show, and he was explaining how he was going to build this huge antenna by running copper cable from towers strung around his property line, but the wind passing-by that huge copper coil he built was generating electricity and he couldn't use the power. Is any of this helpful information? I dunno. I went to Public School in SC many decades ago.
@LightningOnDemand
@LightningOnDemand 2 года назад
Yes, I remember that experiment in orbit, with two cables suspended between the craft and a counterweight. The current induced by flying through the earth's magnetic field was high enough that there was concern the cables might fail. And yes, there have been patented designs using the wind to strip charge from aerial conductors to generate power, but it seems to be too diffuse an effect to be practical. The orbital loop generator is much more effective, but it's important to remember that energy gets pulled from the orbital energy of your craft...
