Your Home gym has come a long way since I found you last year. It Looks great! Maybe you should do a walk through type video since you’ve updated a lot. Also glad you got rid of that cheap Amazon squat stand set. Keep getting after in my man.
I like my Rogue rack. Rogue customer service has been great too. I do have a Rep bench and Rep soft Plyo box. I am currently waiting for a delivery of a workout mat from Rep Fitness as my elbows don’t like the hard stall mats when doing side planks. You can’t go wrong with Rep Fitness or Rogue.
I almost bought a Rep rack since they are local to me. But I ended up splurging on an RFT rack for all the functionality. Like these vids of your upgrades. Here's to never going back to the local gym 🍻 been home gyming since 2015
Checking in. Awesome review. Happy you’re enjoying your major upgrade. Is your home gym in a good spot for you to do a 2021 tour soon? Also noticed you didn’t say anything about your kids, trials and tribulations at the end of your video!
@@NoFate247 I did go with the sandwich j cups, the regular pull up bar, I wanted to the strap safeties but for now I have the pin pipes, and I added the rear stabilizer.
An additional feature that will greatly stabilize is the addition of weight storage and the stored weight plates to the back. This would be crucial when doing pull-ups on front of an unbolted rack. I agree, bolting to the floor is not ideal. The commitment to one location, plus the damage, is not worth it, when other compensations are available.
Sounds like you are happy with the 80" version. You are 6'1" right? I'm a couple inches shorter and should be good with 80" (though my garage has high ceilings). I don't really want to bolt this down but I'm wondering if the lat pulldown (which is a must have for me) would also provide some rigidity/stability? I also have rings that I would like to use with this. I'm debating 6 post vs 4 post.
If you can fit higher go higher. I don't mind the 80 but I would have gone higher if I had the ceiling height. Go six post, you won't be sorry and no need to bolt out down
Thanks for the review! I'm trying to decide between the 80 or 93 inch version. Do you mind telling me your height so I have a reference point for where I would stand under the rack?
@@NoFate247 Appreciate it! That helps me out a lot! My ceiling can accommodate either or. I'm 5'6", so the struggle is real wondering if the 93" would be too tall for me or if the 80" would restrict things like overhead presses.
@thegoldentb7596 thanks for watching and subscribing, would still recommend the higher rack if you can fit it, more vertical realest but either option would definitely work
@@NoFate247 any issues i can expect in installing it given the 7ft ceiling height ? i gather i will need to install the uprights while having someone hold them up as i wont be able to stand the whole rack up given the height issue .
How tall are you dude? Looks like you'd damn near have to be sitting cross-leg to get full extension on a pull-up. I'm trying to get an idea for a tiny little 5'8" guy like myself
@@NoFate247 does it pull off the ground at all when re racking a heavy loaded bar? Also any idea what the rear stabilizer actually does to help with not having to have it bolted down?
@@chrispetrek2529 When I had just the 4 post, it didn't move much, it shifted a bit when reracking squats but we're talking 1/2 an inch by the end of the workout. The Rear stabilizer IMO helps keep it from moving a little and gives it more support side to side. What are you planning to lift on it weight wise?
@@NoFate247 I’m really not sure. Just ordered barbell and plates researching racks now. I have a small area and I’m only looking to buy once so I want to get it right.
@@NoFate247 looking to get red like yours it really stands out also have to get the 80 inch version and hoping there new functional trainer that goes on the rack will fit the 80 inch version
@@jamesdingess9988 red is fire trust me! The ares is going to have an 80 inch version, not to worry. If you use my affiliate link let me know so I can send you a thank you gift Nofate247@gmail.com
Thanks for checking in!!! Let me know if you think I covered it all or if you got bored. Trying to make these videos fun and informative. Easier said than done sometimes.
@@NoFate247 great review man, you must have a list made for all the things you go over because I can't think of anything questions I would have after watching
