The north rim is closed October/November-May, depending on when the snow starts. Usually mid October. You can’t get to the a north rim, literally (the gate is closed!). I’d recommend either a May/early June hike or, as my brother and I have done, September hike. The weather usually cooperates and it makes it easier to plan.
@@JillianCampsArizona trying to plan my trip there now. you mentioned that you dont recommend going past indian garden? trying to figure out wha tis the best trail to take. seems that if you stop at indian garden you dont actually get to go to the colorado river. :(. Also is it worth while to continue to plateu point? thank you !!
@@MarisolsAdventures Yes, you can easily make it to plateau point and back in a day. I would highly recommend starting really early for that hike, however. Plateau point is about 10 miles roundtrip. I would take the Bright Angel trail down to Indian Garden, then do the add-on. You can private message me on facebook too if you wanted to talk faster, sorry sometimes I don't get the notifications right away! Collab? lol. I've done Plateau Point as a day hike, you can definitely see the colorado river from there!
@@JillianCampsArizona would love to do a collab but my fríend visiting from Peru and not sure if she is going to be up for that. Maybe next time I come back on my own..?
