I learned a little from this channel, and have use your techniques before the lockdown. I'm a big guy who likes half and deep half... But so do all of the other big guys I roll with. I thought this video would help me understand a few techniques better...instead it made me realize how much more I need to learn. I guess that's just how BJJ works. Thank you for a helpful and informative video.
Nice man. Starting to find myself in DHG more and more, esp when escaping mount or from half guard. Gonna work on the SLX transition, and waiter sweep as my plan b.

I’m afraid of getting kimuraed with that “awkward” grip- since I’m a smaller guy, I’m always wary of a bigger dude just grabbing and cranking something even if the position isn’t technically correct.
In the deep half is okay to roll your opponent over to get more of a single leg take down. I have more of a pressure game, so feel it suits me. But, I am not sure if it is an actual technique. And, if it is, what other transitions can I use?
You can definitely do that. My coach bernardo has the best deep half transitions into the single leg. I’d recommend checking out more of his stuff. Sounds like a great fit!
