So true and honest. I am currently reading a book called parenting from the inside out and it is about being aware of your own traumas and to break the pattern with your children. Love your videos Nekole! Very helpful!
Awesome video! Self awareness around our own adverse experiences is so important, as we talked about on my podcast too. Can't let our own traumas lead to our children having the same traumas, directly from us.
How about when they are at school or Daycare, the kids will expect to be treated the same way when having big feeling but schools don’t use those same techniques. So they’ll be their true self when in school but the behavior won’t be socially accepted as is not the norm as society is not fully evolved. What’s your opinion?
I followed the positive parenting strategies since my child was born. Now that he is five and entered kindergarten and they want to place him in Special Education because he isn’t nor behaves like the others kids that are already brainwashed.🤷🏻♀️ Please give me your opinion on these as I don’t think putting him in an IEP would be good for him?
I live with my mother and mother-in-law and husband and 3-year-old. Several generations of different traumas in one house and it gets very complicated at times to figure out who's causing the problem and if they are even in the room.
