But isn't using a texturing paste and clay pomade like comparing apples to oranges!? V76 by Vaughn's texture paste blows MP out of the water and gives the same hold and texture as the clay pomade example. loved the video Joe, just like to play devils advocate 😎👹👹👹
+TheGentlemansCove have you tested this on your hair type or someone with thick hair? regardless, I understand that they are completely different products.. I wasn't trying to compare the fact that one was a clay and one was a paste, but rather that one worked well for thinner hair and one for thicker (obviously not exclusively) but yeah :P anyway Jordan go back to cooking in your kitchen. (jk love you)
+BluMaan hey I make some pretty legit french toast man!!! haha I believe I let my friend use it who has like thick Mexican hair, as well as my own and it came out pretty nice. I'll have to test my findings on someone with thin hair. I don't know anyone who has thin hair doeeeee. oh well hehe.
I should've learned this when I was 16. I always prided myself with unruly cool hair, but shit is tough when you're in your 20s and need a change of style. Thanks!
+John Pack nothing will make your hair grow faster, and oil only helps the ends of your hair if it's damage, which it shouldn't really be if it's short
I have the same problem, except I don't have Asian hair. I have really thick hair and I'm using natural beeswax paste and my hair falls down after 3 or 4 hours
Just ordered "Original" ... can't wait to try it out. It's a little more expensive than my current styling paste/product but I figured it would be worth it since this is a heat protectant, pre-styler, and post styler ... or so I've heard lol. Getting a haircut tomorrow so hopefully by the time I get the product my hair will be looking exactly how I want it
Manuel Rodriguez I am supposed to be getting the product tomorrow or friday ... comment below to this message so I remember to reply back with an update!
I just recently got it cause of all the snow storms delaying the delivery ... I can't give an honest opinion tbh only used it 2 times. I think its a good product it keeps the hair up but also keeps it really soft so u can run your fingers through it
At least you didn't say about the quality of a hair dryer, I have a £9 hairdryer with basic nozzles on the end and my mum has a £120 hair dryer, I honestly prefer my cheap one, a hair dryer is just a hair dryer. Lots of people say you NEED an expensive one to style :/
+BluMaan hey Joe, i like to watch your and +TheGentlemansCove video. i think you two are the best among others. Joe, i have the same hair texture as you, do u prefer to use wax or pomade? i use pomade but my hair often become greasy. any help?
my hair can't be blow dried because it gets REALLY thick and dry, even with a pre styler. anyone have suggestions on what I should do to achieve the same looks as if I did blow dry my hair?
Im mexican and have thick wavy hair. I asked my hairstylist to thread/texture my hair and keeping the same length. I ended up having thin and straight hair which was great but it only lasted like 2 weeks and it went back to wavy thick hair. Other than that I still liked the way It created more layers around my hair.
I'm 15 and I have thin dark hair, but I really love the hairstyles like yours except maybe not as high. I have the same but shorter right now, what product should I use (thin and fine hair)? Ps should I continue using this hairstyle or it that a bad idea with thin hsir
Hi Joe. Rob here. I'm really glad I found your channel today you offer a lot of great advice. Keep up the good work. I have to say you look like Ben Feldman (johnah) from Superstore.
Thank you for this vid! Finally a comparison of the differences between different products WITH DEMONSTRATIONS. Please do another video like this, with the three different hair types models, and some different products like for instance matte versus glossy, etc. Totally awesome video!
I think Joe should make videos were he styles different people's hair to show what method to use for different styles of hair thin hair/thick hair. I.e what he did with tom but more detail.
Loved your camera project too. And it feels good to know that you wanna share it with us and we can see it that you want to grow in that particular field as well :D cheers man:)
How do I stop my hair from feathering out on the sides? I mix Paul mitchels extra body sculpting gel and Paul mitchels foaming pomade every morning but later in the day it feathers out
It's been a pleasure Tom! Was good to have you. Joe, what kind of blow dryer would be best? Like atm my blow dryer is kind of weak. The more power, the better?
I cant tell what type of hair I have so I have experimented with quite a lot of different products. I want volume in my hair so it doesn't look as short.
I'm trying to slick my hair back. I noticed my wax isn't appropriate. I use axe wax (yellow) for medium length and it's medium strength. My hair is super thick. My barber told me if I wanted to slick back the hair, I should proceed to "uncurl" treatment.
Hey it's me. Unfortunately we cut our hair when sports season came in. It's 2022 and you have a gf now. She likes you with longer hair. I'm trying to growing it out again but I still cautious about slicking back. I'm trying to grow out the sides, a thing we never done.
Question, why is the product call a post styler? I thought post mean after the style. Something like a hair spray. So shouldn't it be something like a prestyler, then the styler, then a hair spray (post).
Okay, we both have thick- medium hair - medium, my hair is a few inches shorter than yours, and I go for the same style as yours, I am going to buy Blue maan original for prestyle, what is your favorite brand/product to use to complete your style?
Regarding tip number 2. I got straight thin hair and I'm trying to get more volume, which I utterly fail at. Is it even possible for me to pull off? Who are some good examples for thin hair? I can't really decide if someone has thin or thick hair. Btw would love you to style my hair, maybe I would finally get that awesome hairstyle I've been trying to do all the time.
+blumaan can you do a tutorial on your hairstyle in this video? I, along with other people have the same hair type and texture as you so for those of us with that would most likely appreciate a tutorial.
hey joe, I have a request. Can you add some type of scent in ORIGINAL? Scent similar to moroccan texture paste or sponge wax. This is the only reason I don't use ORIGINAL as a post styler. Other than that, great product and great video man.
I have pretty thin hair. And i usually go for side part with a bit of bangs (Medium Long hair) and i use clay for my hair, but it's terrible. It doesn't keep my hair up and i don't know what product i should use. I just hope my hair looks good after ''styling'' it and then use hairspray but i know this isn't the right way. Do you know what product i should use?
Is there anything any of you all would recommend for thick, curly hair? Also any hairstyles? I'm not trying to shave the sides, and I want to find some products to work with that can bring out the possibilities with styles.
Here's something I don't understand..... I love my hair.... but unfortunately I have seborrheic dermatitis...yes...a lot of people don't like admitting it but anyways, I love watching Blu's videos and other hair videos but every time I do so....I feel self conscious and think.. "hmm....wonder what it's must feel like, being so comfortable in your hair"...Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining about the life I'm given, I'm grateful....but when I look at my friends, people on youtube..... and I think the same thing....but I'm not narrow minded, I still wonder...."I wonder what's their story"....I know no one's perfect, I know I'm not the only one with it in the world....but I think a lot. I think a lot and thinking a lot is what makes me think the things I think. Yea, I'm taking treatments for it, it has improved a lot since the pass 2 years....I've had it for roughly 3 years....I only started treating it about 3 months ago, I'm 15 btw, I turned 15 in January. I've accepted the face that this is something I would have to live with for the rest of my life, that I can only maintain. But it's like....I'd love to be able to be comfortable and do what I like with my hair in public or let my friends freely touch it like how it was 7 years ago, back then, I had the "best" hair in class...I personally didn't care about it and didn't see what was so cool about it but people likes passing their hands through it and touching it a lot. Only recently I've understood what they liked and I'm not vain by any means but I appreciate my hair and really like doing things with it, but for me, I'm kind of restricted form a lot of it in public because I'm afraid it might winter in the area. People can say," well don't care about what people think, do what you like, it's your life and your body" but the thing is....that's how I live my life for everything else to a certain extent, but not my hair, I try, I really do, but I just can't, I'm self conscious of it. I don't know what to do. I watch lots of videos about hair and look at a lot of people's hair it gives me joy, I genuinely enjoy it but there's also a part of me that doesn't feel the same, and makes me think. I don't know if it's doing more good for me than bad, or vice versa. So yea, I don't understand. It's a good feeling but bad at the same time and it isn't because of jealousy or envy, I know that. And also If you think I'm typing this for attention or pity, you're wrong, I have better things to do with my life but I just had to say it, kinda feel like less weight on my shoulder for some reason, I don't even know how many people will even take the time to read this, but who ever has, thank you . Have a good day :)
***** Well, when it was bad, there were endless larger flakes of dandruff, that was my main problem, red patches and really itch and I know now not to scratch it but back then, I didn't know better and it made it worse. Now after 3 months of using special shampoos, it isn't noticeable, generally but the endless amounts are still there but the flakes are smaller. For example if I walked pass you 1 1/2 year ago, and looked at my hair, you would have notices, expecialy if you look at it closely. Now, if you walk pas or look closely, you wont see any, well you might see a few. but that's it you actually look for them. But you see, if i were to touch my hair the slightest.....some will fall....so I try my hardest to avoid touching my hair or letting people touch it where there is a lot of light behind me or on a surface where they can see.
***** I believe in the early stages I used to get that, I didn't know what it was, I was ..but I don't think I have those now, that was before I started getting the dandruff problem, I would just pass my hand on my head and feel like these little button like things and dig them out and look at them, confused.
Fabihanski oh damn, yea I can imagine trying to wash it out, but thanks, noted...but my hair is longish, about 4-5 inches on the top (was longer, I cut it recently) and I m growing it out so it'll be hell pasting it on my scalp but I'll prob. try it when I cut my hair again, thanks.
Blue man do u have any tips for flaky scalp idk how I can apply coconut oil cause I never applied that on my hair before and I don't want to have my hair super oily
Is styling hair with pomade everyday bad though? But i only wash my hair every 3 days. But before i sleep i will wipe my hair with a wet towel to get some of the pomade out? Is this ok? I am scared this is gonna lead me to hair loss in the long run....
i have got silky long hair.....what style do u recommend bcz i never found the correct one.....though never tried much of the styles fearing what it may look like.
