I've been doing it all my life so here's some tips: Use a leave in conditioner, then slick your hair to the back or (if you want it straight) do it sideways, and put on the beanie,go to sleep on the side where you didn't slick your hair to. Wake up and voila! I use it every couple of days it's way better than heat methods.
I have to wear a hat for work and I've found that when I'm done my hair is really soft when I take my hat off. It might be a little bit flat but the smoothness is unreal!
Thanks for this video! This was 'real life' vs. what we might normally see in a hair styling video, and I appreciate that. All the hacks are great, but like you I would not do the hairspray one. Hacks 1,2, 4 and 5 are easily done in 'real life' and are effective for the situation. Great work, BluMaan!!!
The beanie method works very well when your sides are very short and your top part of the hair is the only area you have to style. It is a bit harder when u have longer sides because they get messy with the beanie but if you have product to fix the sides, it's a great method to style a slick back loook
The beannie hack is the best when i didn't had a blow dryer i used this hack to achieve that slicked back and sometimes for that highly volumised quiff hairstyle
i have been using the beanie hack for the past year and it amazing if u wanna achieve a more straighter hair, i have wavy hair with alot of volume, as soon as i wake up a put a bit of water on my hair not alot so it drys faster i put the beanie and go do whatever i gotta do in the morning, when im about to leave home i apply the pomade and the hair stays in place all day
Hey blu maan!,ive been trying to find a really good shampoo and conditioner for wavy hair, could you do a shampoo and conditioners video ?if you could do drug store brands that would be amazing!😭im on a very tight budget
For the hat trick a good idea is to wear the hat to bead and don’t put the product on till the Morning. I used to do it in school because I would get up 10 minutes before I left the house. Worked a charm saved my life 🙃
I've been using baby powder to get rid of oil for like a decade almost. It's the best option for me that I have been able to find. My hair is a little fine and prone to oiliness, but this does work for me. Over the dry shampoo I have tried. But also, the baby powder sometimes makes my hair look better on the second day than when I styled it the first day.
I usually get really weird, all over the place hair when I wear a beanie, but with a snapback and lightly blowdried hair (because I hate running around with damp hair) I get some super flat hair, even flatter than what you had in the video. When blowdrying I get at least like 4-5 centimeters of unavoidable volume and with the hat it's basically flat on my head, so go give it a try
I do the hat method on weekends when I have more time to style my hair. I've used the adding a slicking product hack to the part line to reduce fly aways. I don't have any pomade though so I just use a tiny amount of vaseline.
just an advise : try putting some sirum on your hair .. brush it forward or to the side that your hair goes to then put the bonnet for better results .. coz brushing it to the back is gonna make it wavy
That hat one i figured out because i wear beanies in the winter and i shower in the mornings before i leave for work. So i throw my beanie on before work with my hair laying however i want it to lay.
Amazing Quality Content every upload, couldn't ask for anything more keep it up! Been watching you for so long now and i always enjoy your content thanks Joe
I can guarantee that the beani thing actually works. My hair is kinda curly and very hard to handle for some styles. What I do is wear the beani on my way to work (it is a 45 min trip on car) and put it away once arrived. My hair becomes softer and the curliness disappears.
i use the beenie hack for the past year mainly ppl with wavy hair will love it , what i do is blowdry my hair the way i want it ( usually i do a quiff ) until it gets like 80% ( keep in mind i got long hair drops to mouth )dry then u comb ur hair back wear the beenie for max 10/20 mins remove beenie and there u are with an awesome heairstyle in my case i get a beckham 2014 kinda style
I use the hat trick and i use it as kind of like a hair wrap but i use it to keep my hair styled a certain way i think its meant to make it to where you can actually go out in publis while your hair is still like drying in a certain style
Hey have already optimized the beanie hat for years now, it's way quicker if you put the hat on when your hair is almost dry. Also if you put your hair to one side instead of completely back you can get crazy volume with it. I do all of this before using any wax btw Hope it helps you all ;)
I have done the baby powder hair hack for agggges... Here is another hack for you guys regarding baby powder. On a hot day, carry a little bit of baby powder and slap it on your face to remove facial shine from sweat and oils. I have used this trick for photography for ages as hot spots on a model's face can easily spoil a photo.
Nice video. But can u please do a video on how u style your hair. I’m in the challenge and it’s getting kinda hard and I don’t want to quit. Thank u Joe
Another very helpful video 🙏 my dilema was that my hair isn’t thin, but not that thicc either, and it’s also very oily. I had so much trouble styling because the my hair became oily even after 1 day and it would weigh my hair down, so I have to prestyle with something strong like Original and finish with Monarch lightly.
