I truly believe that as soon as Justin has the mental part down he'll be starting, I think they're only guaranteeing Andy Dalton starting game one because they're paying him 10 million dollars for this season, and I'm quite sure upon signing him they told him that the job would be his rather or not they drafted a quarterback, so I think it's more so for Andy's confidence, but I hope the rookie can learn the mental details of the quarterback position ASAP!! _ I don't care what anyone says this kid will eventually give the Chicago Bears the best chance of winning. You didn't trade all that draft capital for Khalil Mack, as well as paying Robert Quinn all this money to not be a Super Bowl contender you just can't waste this defense that you have waiting for next season.

Goldman is probably not in shape and is going to harm his muscle mass trying to get ready for camp.

Sean Payton really makes a difference in being able to make an impact on playcalling and get good quality starts out of his QBs. Matt Nagy tho really is incompetent at running an offense and playing to the strengths of the team.

Quinn had the same problem Leonard Floyd did. They're great if they get to play downhill a lot, but when you have no offense, the scheme drops them into coverage and run support too often to be able to maximize his chances. No offense at all is a serious limitation in this style of defense.

You guys are overlooking Nagy's easy out: "He's our starter" could be Game 1 preseason!!!! By games 2 or 3 preseason, things could change, and Nagy can go with it.

I'm not sure it's fair to say the defense has slacked since 2018 when it appears that they've had to increase their time on the field due no production by the offense. I thought we already figured that out. Like, how much can you put into a marriage when you're the only one trying to make it work all the time? Even in 2018, special teams couldn't help, they've only become consistent last season.

Can Nagy get “his offense” to be a juggernaut? That is the only pressing question. He has the a vet QB and a rookie with a lot of talent so no more excuses. If he fields a 16th ranked offense or below then Nagy needs to go and he can take pace with him.

I do agree that the defense need to have better hands, but the referees did negate like 3-4 interceptions, 1-2 that could've been returned for pick-6's.

Mahomes isn’t elite because Nagy He is elite because Mahomes, If he was elite because Nagy then Trabisky and Foles would be Elite. Fields will be elite because Fields.

I think by saying andy is starter he ain't threatened and more down to help fields

Clearly neither Goldman nor the Bears wants to be public about it. But how many extra days does this $93,000 holiday tack on to his time away from a facility he opted out of? What does that work out to, a couple grand a day for an extra few weeks of peace of mind?

If they win with Dalton, why start Fields, hell get better every passing week.

Nagy staying with Dalton, just might put a chip on his back, and Dalton will play pissed. That would be good.
