When Honda gave a super light, super nimble cb300r, people said it's too expensive and offers too little for the money. Then they're willing to pay 2 lakhs for a 155cc which only comes alive after 7500rpm and is super uncomfortable to sit. And when Bajaj offers a 400cc with twice the power and torque figures for nearly the same price, they say it's lousy, this and that. New KTM is going towards 4 lakhs, if Bajaj used that engine and launched a bike at higher price, then they'll say it's better to pay some more and buy the KTM instead. When Hero gives a 440cc at 2 lakhs, they say the looks are lousy and Hero doesn't know designing or styling. Actually people don't know what they want in the first place. They just love to find faults They keep asking about top speed in most videos and they also ask about mileage which is another contradiction. This is the most value for money short stroke and Maverick is the most vfm long stroke. People are just spoilt for choice and are just nitpicking all the time. Only 10% have the skill to use the edges of a 110 section tyre but everybody wants fatter and fatter tyres. I have seen hundreds of Yamaha FZs with the edges having full tread and the centre bald, that clearly tells the story. Such is life my friends. Let us complain less. Pakistan is still selling 70cc bikes at a lakh and half in 2024. FYI and perspective 😎
People want 400+cc , 40 bhp , 40 nm , slipper clutch, USD forks(Shova), 10 step adjustable rear monoshock(shova), 6 speed gear box , 110&150 section tyres with Diamond cut alloys , all the connectivity features and most modern aggressive & sexy Italian Design for 1.45 Lakhs. That's the actual problem here 😌🤷🏾♂️
Honestly, for a guy who thinks practically and who wants only a single bike for mostly everything, CB300F is pakka VFM. If one can ride the bike in an economical way, they can get about 40kmpl in city. It is comfortable at about 100kmph for touring. The comfort is ok but can be improved with better padding. It is powerful enough for our roads. And its a Honda, so it will be reliable.
Light weightlessness is actually a huge positive point in my book. 373cc engine being reused is actually not bad cus of the cost savings people can use the extra 30-70k saved for higher octane fuel/touring/mods/better tyres.
I still find D400 more exciting, people complained about D400's weight when it 1st launched. Now that the ns is lighter, there's again complaint? This shows people are never gonna be satisfied.
@@AlphaShot.. well, bajaj has to up it's game and hire a new/decent set of designers. The fact that the ns ranges from 125 to 400 carrying the same design language with minor changes is just hilarious. I understand if it works it works, but where's the innovation. I personally own a D400 and i find nothing wrong, tho it has the same design since launch, but where's the innovation?
At this point, given the pricing, i wont even bicker. What this bike offers is too good for its value. It may still have flaws since it has new hardwares but its nothing bajaj couldn't handle and fix. Design wise i still fell in love with it since im a big ns200 lover.
1. How much has classic's look changed? No complaints there 2. Looks small? Pick the bigger 400 Maverrrrrrick, triumph... 3. Weight.... naked sports bike, arent they supposed to be nimble?
It's a great package. Was unsure about the looks but its growing on me now. They could've made a different tail light though. But at this price point, there ain't room for any complaints.
I have NS 200 bs3 still running like a monster. Engine Rebuild new with every part new. Spent almost 90k. Now I want this one. Dominar 400 sucks because of weight. I wonder we get the Dominar 250cc engine as well on NS 200 body. Then NS 200 discontinues and relaunched as NS 250. NS 200 and RS 200 lacks torque with a pillion.
I have started to have a problem with my ns400. It almost always shuts down the engine by itself in traffic jams where I need to run slowly in a low rpm. My 2 friends have the same problems. Why would cause this engine problem? Your thought?
Excellent words❤❤ hat's off to you bro. Everything you said is very true , yes I am a BS4 NS 200 owner and now I wanted an upgrade but didn't want to buy a D400. I wanted super badly to come to NS 400 in the market and finally it's here.
I think it is a good thing that it is the same engine as the dominar becoz that engine is tried and tested and gone through a number of developmental phases. Same thing goes for the perimeter frame which is derived from the NS. What we should really keep an eye on is actually the ride by wire and the riding modes because this things are new even to bajaj.
Bajaj also manufactures Triumph, KTM, and Husqvarna motorcycles, all of which are equipped with riding modes and varied electronics. I think it's not going to be a big problem.
My personal take on this bike would be that the should have gone with the new ktm 399 engine rather than the old 373 cc. That would have opened paths for the new dominar 400 with 399 cc engine and updated electronics
Agreed, I personally feel that the 373cc engine is adequate for the NS400, but the Dominar 400 definitely needs a major upgrade for it to compete effectively against other 400cc bikes in the segment.
Bro...your review is very balanced...Domi 400 UG was similarly a VFM product at 2019!!! But only because it was pitted against RE fanboys it got bad press... When RE uses different products using the same engine, its acceptable😅. And as per Autocar, Domi 400 monthly sale catching up... Its upgrade is being talked about too
I don't buy that the Dominar has to be heavy for what it is. There's no wind protection and fuel tank is what 1 litre extra capacity? It's not justifying the weight or the price premium. I hear Bajaj is re-engineering it from the ground up and I hope they give it long travel suspension, more wind protection and a bigger fuel tank. Would be good to throw in the lcd from the old 390 as well
When customers are ready to buy with the brand name, RE and Bajaj are coming with same cc but different design. Man we are waiting here for something new they are giving the already proven machine with some youcomeperfect designs 🤧
Beautiful motorcycle for sports naked. I can tell would go for it if sports tourer wasn't my thing. I haven't bay a motorcycle yet, i was for dominar but this bike change things. I'll see.
at last there is a channel that it starts with welcome back to my channel in English and continues with not in indian,at least for the non indian watchers. Thanks ...
I'd personally go for the 400Z because it's a step up from your current 200cc bike to a 400cc one, offering a more significant upgrade in terms of power and performance.
The day bajaj realises that launching the AS400 will kill any competition that exists will be the day that i will drop the disappointment for the headlight.
