The second story really got me as I interpreted it as a tragic story about someone with severe schitzophrenia or agnosia. All the stories painted a surprisingly strong atmosphere. Creepy reads from my favourite reader!
My favourite thing about story 3 is: It doesn't ever say "Slenderman". I was waiting for that as a weak, predictable "Horror punchline" of "Ooo, I name dropped a thing!", but it just suggested him (Thin, pale, lacking features, even some tulpa hinting) and that made it work So much better than where I expected it to go. Subtlety it important in good horror, and a lot of creepypastas lack that.
The third story was actually pretty solid; good plot building, double twist, great atmosphere. There were a few grammical hiccups in tenses but that's practically normal among pastas anyway. I love how it almost had a Victor Frankenstein feel
Oh how I've missed the days of decently written creepypastas and you reading them, these are great because they make creepypastas legit again which makes me so happy.
I think the thing that made the third story excel where others would have floundered was that it not only gave us the twist about the doctor being a bad person, creating this nightmare creature, but then the story kept going after that when others would have stopped.
WOW that last one was simply amazing! The others were good don't get me wrong but that last one actually managed to engross me into the whole world with the perspective of the doctor. Also I am really glad to get another video from you man, it's about time we got someone that actually reads and acknowledges the good stories in the creepypasta wiki again. (Mostly because I became tired of listening to the people that constantly ridicule the bad ones).
First story was very relatable and atmospheric, 7/10 Second story was personal and had many interpretations, 8/10 Third story was suspenseful, intriguing, and had many amazing twists, 9/10
I actually really like this idea! I know that you can not do so many videos covering good creepypastas, but I have been missing them from this channel for years now! I feel like this will make the channel more even rather just videos making fun of the bad ones
I hope you are well! Thank you for the well wishes and for making this. It was really nice to see you reading this time, with the story on the screen too. It kind of reminded me of read along stories I had on cassette tape as a kid, only much better! I hope to see more of these, you found good ones this time! Stay safe and take care.
Man i realized troll pastas and well bad creepypastas aren't that frequent that was the first type of video i saw from you so if you are so inclined please upload more and please keep this series its quite entertaining
I like this format! Keep up the great work, it’s always a treat when you upload Edit; Man these were better than I expected. The last one especially was well written and very atmospheric.
I think the second story, The author was insane and Manny was a demon. The mannequins were burglars robbing the house because it’s night, best time to strike, and they were real and he got arrested.
I'm going to sound like a jerk here but something I feel a lot of people should know is that burglars almost NEVER strike when anyone's home. They find out when you will be gone and then they break in while you are not at home. The whole idea of someone in your house while you are sleeping is terrifying but luckily not very realistic. This just made me feel a little safer and so I thought I would share it.
An interesting format for sure. Who knows what kinds of hidden gems you'll uncover? Not sure about the facecam though. But I'm sure that is just my social anxiety typing... probably.
I don’t like how in the first story I’m hearing about this weird old lady and now I hear the ice cream truck going around. She’s a nice lady, but oh my god, timing.
Hoodlum is back with a new video, it's almost an hour-long, new concepts?!?!? Just what I need to both pass the time and enjoy a little treat during Quarantine. Thank you for the video, much appreciated since all this has been going on. Stay healthy and happy, hood-sensei!
These were all really good! I was thinking of passing it up (bad as it sounds, most creepypastas just aren’t what they used to be), but I’m glad I didn’t! :-)
I love this new show! And how lucky are we that we managed to get THREE great creepypastas in a row?! What are the odds?? You should definitely make this a regular feature on your channel! You were incredibly entertaining as always. Looking forward to episode 2!🖤
Hey Dennis your philosophy keep writing keep improving is what's getting me through burn out and writer's block. I can't just settle where I am at but I should keep moving and keep improving.
Great series so far, it reminds me of the 3RG series from 8-Bit Ryan, in that you'll never know what you're gonna get. You got lucky with the Random stories today my friend. Stay safe.
I think the mannequin story sounds kinda like schizophrenia, you know when he told him to hide the bodies in the garage it was real people. The 1st story did a good job at making the atmosphere lonely.
I loved this video, awesome job! I loved the third story as well, as it explored interesting concepts, the plot and ideas were executed beautifully, and overall it was just an amazing story! I can't wait for your next installment in this series, as I am just hungry for more! 😆👍
I do have an issue with "Since When do Mannequins Bleed," and that is this: If those mannequins were people that Manny had him believe were monsters, we still have to ask- who were these people and what were they doing in the narrator's house late at night?
@@tudormorar02 In that case, it would still be an absolutely psychotic and punishable act, but it wouldn't be like killing innocent people, which it seems as though the author wanted Manny's motive to be.
