Who said it's a failure? Elevate launched in a competitive segment and managed to sell decently, above Skoda and Volkswagen. According to your analysis, Skoda and Volkswagen shouldn't even exist here in India. It hasn't been 1 year since its launch, and you're simply bluffing to gain popularity or reach.
Did you even check the sales stats of Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun and compared it to Honda Elevate? They both were launched 2.5 years back and at present doing similar numbers as Elevate. And what will I gain by bluffing? I've presented SIAM data, I hope you've some rational data before you counter me.
@@vroom_indiaThat's because Honda is trying to boost the sale of Elevate now and they've been successful in that. Can't compare with cars in this segment though as others sell it highlighting features gimmick 😂😂
Proud owner of Elevate CVT. This product has most of the essential features except for ventilated seats. It has amazing suspension, best in the segment brakes and the driving dynamics are the best after Volkswagen group. I purchased it after driving Creta, Seltos and Grand Vitara. The only thing Honda should do is launch a mild hybrid engine for better fuel efficiency and add ventilated seats.
Precisely! Absolutely nailed it. I own a 5th Gen Honda City ZX myself and it's a hoot to drive. Much better than Verna and marginally lower than VW twins. Planted and comfortable ride, almost all creature comforts except for a few bells and whistles. The only reason I came up with this video was cause I've cherished this brand since a long time and I hope they do have a turnaround.
people who are born with card and lived in cars will know what is a tank and what is a toy. Honda security stability, driving comfort ground clearance, boot space, honda is the king, unneccasary fancy feautures ehich are only fancy.
Incomplete analysis. Few points one needs to take into consideration: 1) The honda elevate has hardly had any marketing or promotion behind it. 2) Compare manual+CVT petrol sales of other peers with elevate. That'll be more accurate as turbo, diesel, 1.0 ltr etc cater to different consumer groups 3) factor in Honda's export sales trajectory to see overall acceptance of the product I have a ZX CVT and loving it more with each passing day as it ages well, is highly reliable (🤞), brilliant suspension and cooling, and feels safe and solid in varied driving conditions (I've not crossed 110kms so cant comment beyond that). It's great value for money and an ideal family car for a family of upto 4. Few things HONDA should provide as features are - ventilated seats - rear sunshade
I haven’t said that the engine lacks grunt or it’s grossly missing a host of key features. Yes, wrt its Korean counterparts which have gimmicky features, some are missing. But, you’re absolutely correct that the VTech engine is an absolute hoot to drive, although, CVT gearbox does bring down the fun factor. Enjoy your driving pleasure bro 🤞
Sir it’s not a failure but you nailed it - Yes the Ego point is very much there believe me when I say this I am a Honda customer owning Honda Elevate and City. I have the Showroom ego issue of sales people both for 2 Wheelers and 4 Wheelers, I have faced this issue. 1. No care when I went to buy a Honda 2 Wheeler in Thane. I have also put my comments on Google about the showroom. 2. 4 Wheeler we own a City and when I walked in at Whitefield Honda for Elevate in Bangalore the same ego issue with all the sales team. The service team and Hamsa is grounded there but rest all have extra wings 🪽 which is ultimately a problem. As usual poor customer service and I had to go 500 KM away and Book in Belgaum Where the service of Manager was amazing and I got the car. Problem is the sales team thinks Honda is Mercedes in India that’s why they have this behaviour. If this continues they will have Japanese coming to India to sell cars in showroom if they should survive.
Exquisitely summed up sir! Even I’m a proud Honda City owner and that’s why I want the brand and its products to be successful in India and go back to its glory days. The product isn’t a failure in terms of its offerings, the sales numbers can definitely pick up and as both of us mentioned - it requires better sales and marketing strategies. Happy driving ❤️
Honda elevate is a very good car in its segment, the problem is, in India people just follow the crowd while purchasing cars. Honda is realiable brand with best security features.
Also majority of people buying Creta or Seltos usually never go for the turbo variants, you'll hardly find a Seltos GTX or an Full Hybrid Hyryder, these cars are too expensive, people will rather buy harrier or XUV 700 in 22 lakh, Also time of Diesel is limited, it can be discontinued in India anyday for passenger vehicles, so its a smart choice by Honda to not invest heavily in technology which has a very uncertain future
Sale isliye kam hui hai Kyun ki 2023 stock clear krne ke liye new 2024 model ke liye wait chal rha aur discount v kam hai 2024 model mein kuch month hone do waise v india mein achi car kahan hit hoti hai For ur information elevate jitna india mein sale hui usse double export hui hai india se
i like this vehicle...even if it fails.... not sure though y ppl are behind fancy stuff...this vehicle is a gem and am enjoying the top end zx cvt to the core.
Honda elevate design is good BUT.... 1. Honda maintenance cost is high. 2. Lack of features 3. Focus on mileage 4. Refine engine like Creta then will be best car.
1. Maintenance cost is kind of okay but yes it’s a little expensive than Hyundai 2. Yes, in comparison to South Korean brands it does lack features 3. I’ve a 5th gen Honda City ZX Petrol…In city it does give 12-13 kmpl. I would say it’s fine. 4. Vtec engines are refined but yes Creta Turbo engine is a different beast.
Video was interesting to watch, specially the history that you put of honda in few words. Keep doing this. Yes honda is a very big name and these numbers of elevate are certainly low being a honda car but we as customers are equally responsible for this. The current market wants cars like creta (i personally dont) over elevate and hence the numbers showcase. I would predict that elevate will continue to fight in the market and gain its spot in near future because honestly the car has lot of potential (i personally reviewed the car so stating my pov).
Thank you Tanmay for your kind words. Yes, Honda is a prestigious brand and I'm a Honda loyalist myself, drive a 5th gen Honda City. I do have hopes from them that they'll get back to their glory and I completely agree that in large part customers are also to be blamed.
Neeraj, the car is amazing with Honda’s technology and all the features of ADAS and others, even I’ve a Honda City, the focus was on how Honda hasn’t been justifying itself in the Indian market off late.
I completely agree to that brother. The engine is refined as I myself am a Honda City owner. I want the vehicle to sell more. In terms of export volumes it’s a superhit car in Japan.
The price range in which Honda Elevate is available it packs more feature, I recently purchased ZX CVT variant of Elevate with BH number in 16.10 Lakh on road, you don't even get Sletos HTK variant with BH number in that price, and Seltos HTK severally lacks feature when you compare it with Elevate ZX CVT. Elevate is targeting a niche of customer with budget more than 14 lakh but less than 17 lakhs and you can get an automatic in the price of an Seltos HTK or HTK+
That's true Abhi...Elevate is operating in a different price band but there it's being undercut by the likes of smaller SUV (Compact SUV's) like Sonet, Venue etc. I'm a Honda owner myself and I want this brand to progress further.
@@vroom_india I don't thinks its being undercut, I never found anyone who purchased the venue, sonet, XUV 300 above 12 Lakh let alone 15-17 lakh Hardly anyone buys these cars in this price bracket
You are talking with your experience may be or paid. As a Honda customer we are very much happy and with top model elevate cvt we are getting the best one with 20 m price. The service from Honda is extremely good if compared with other brands
Elivate base model bhi price me compititer se jyada hai. Second intirer bhi old design hai. Exterior look bhi thik hai.market ke sath chalna pad ta hai. But honda ka engine ke aalava kuch proper perfect nahi hai.
The Brand... HONDA..!! I am a proud owner of "ELEVATE" (Manual full option). Nice Car and this is a best drivers car. Best Pricing for this sechment.Nice driving, i enjoy it.
@@vroom_india no need of growing numbers...some good vehicles only few ppl should have :) i wish this vehicle doesn't oversell and then only it will be unique :)
Chose VW over elevate. Elevate is a great product. What it lacked was punch in engine. There was little engine noice. Another was that under thigh support especially of the front seats was poor. Further cruise control is not available in some models which is also huge miss. I don't think such features will cost u much. It was not expected from Honda. And whats the use of handrest when its not sliding. When u r making such a good product then u can also remove such niggles. Otherwise its a fantastic car. But if Honda fails to understand the nerves of Indian customers then its difficult to survive in tough C segement market.
Well summarized Surbhi! Honda actually had a winning product combo which they couldn’t capitalize on. The Indian market is a value centric market and seeks as many features (irrespective of usage) as possible. Elevate actually provides ADAS at a price point of 16 lacs which is available in Seltos and Creta at 20 lacs+ and somewhere Honda’s lax marketing efforts also need to be blamed.
Still forth best seller in it's segment. Probably even better rank if we look at targeted comparison of 1.5 naturally aspirated section. Being exported to Japan where it has waiting list and being exported to African countries as well. Honda is still working at same capacity while it increased it's exports. They don't have stockpiles sitting at factory like Europeans. And sales of Amaze, City are also expected to drop as market is of SUVs. Which is why Honda is focusing on launching 3 SUVs in next 3 years. Honda is far from over. You need a little more research than trying to be sensational. 🙂
I’m not sure Amit where you got the data of 3 new SUV’s in the next 3 years. At best, we will witness one more new product from Honda in the upcoming 2 years.
@vroom_india Ummm... it was declared by Takuya Tsumura himself? He declared there will be 5 SUVs by 2030, and an EV and 7 seater SUV along with Elevate would be 3 SUVs to be unveiled in the next 3 years. Out of that Elevate was launched last year, if all goes per plan, EV will be introduced either by this year end or start of next year and 7 seater comes an year after that. Dude, this was the plan all along, declared like 1 year ago! Did you not read those articles?
They just failed to understand Indian market again with elevate, instead ADAS they should have provided 360 cam + hybrid and may be not sunroof, if this car would have given the mileage closer to GV, Am sure they have outsmarted the recent sales of creta+ seltos as well. But they offered honda developed camera based ADAS which is such a full of sh*t feature for Indian roads.
Deepak ji, I'm also a proud Honda City 2022 owner. I also want Honda to succeed further. Do let me know if you will like to be part of another episode we will be doing on Honda by end of this month.
India to Japan exportes models Exported value is more than they sell here in india but their japan model have Navigation built within digital display of rpm were it show only turn by turn direction of map route settled on japan maps on infotainment system , their adas somehow reads Speed signs on side of road like 60km/h limit thats shown below digital speed , front parking sensors that what we don't get in india other stronger radiator bumper grill with vertical design this indian feels flimsy on Indian varient of cars rear boot organiser chrome tip exaust accessories from showroom even they have changed the one USB charging slot position left passenger side and one which has Port for Android auto and media on right side on japanese models were on indian varient both usb slots are present on right hand side of drivers Why this they are doing this when it's made in india and sold in other countries. Why differentiation for india spec and japan spec ? other brand CBU models don't change positions of buttons only Left hand to right hand only that changes and features are kept same .
Exactly Jayesh ji, Indian consumers get taken for granted. and second aspect is that infra wise Japan and western countries are better than us. how many of your sign boards are in proper condition.
Maybe Honda is more focused in exporting Made in India cars(mostly elevate)to home market as stats clearly show Honda India overall sales increasing (More than 100% export sales growth compared to last year)
@@vroom_indiaThat's because Honda is trying to boost the sale of Elevate now and they've been successful in that. Can't compare with seltos and creta though as they sell it highlighting features gimmick 😂😂
The thing is that all three segments - Compact SUV’s like Brezza, MPV’s like Ertiga and Mid size SUV’s like GV are available at almost same price point which leads to a lot of cannibalization
This Govt is only "taking" money out of the pockets of its Citizens. Demand of everything is falling. Prices are going up because of negative growth in demand. Modi just doesn't know what to do. His BA Pass (hopefully) FM Sita-whatever is also clueless. All are busy expanding Ambani -Adani businesses
Honda has best in class wheelbase , bootspace, full underbody splash protection cover its not covering transmission part it cover whole underbody exept exaust line. ground clearance that feels less due to long wheelbase Suspension is well tuned than its segment offers what does good engineered car has it has exellent break bite than its compit offers its also difficult for giving for other manufacturers that Honda did that while not going out of users budget and not offring any price of above top models of other compiting car of its segment and offering there one and only powerful N/A engine at higher HP and linear Torq curve in that pulls HP rpm 6400rpm TORQUE Rpm 5300rpm that what honda known for happy reving others cars in cvt is tunned like rpm dosnt raise too quick due to slow rpm raise hyundai IVT in Honda High rpm pushes high transmission that what causes cvt to Shift to higher transmission pully ratio faster and lower fuel economy but staying most of the time in Fuel economy under light footed is very good of 20kmpl with dynamic km range readings. I have tried hyundai cars from i20 petrol engine its refined what of what i know whats of it deminishes wallet with its poor milage 😅 and attract with its flashy interiers and turbo petrol engines of too much higer cost than of below buffered price tag of honda's top model car 😂 N/A engines torque is well spreaded in between 900-6400 and torque in range between 900rpm- 5300rpm ⚠️Turbo engines feels too weak below stated RPM always to be remembered
anyone sensible wont put a subject line like this.. I dont own a Honda Elevate but many of my colleagues are proud owners of this beast who were earlier owning Kia or Creta. Work on your subject or tag of videos so that you can remain neutral on your reviews.
It indeed is a lovely car, there’s no denying it. Honda needs to market it better. It’s a major success in Japan. Honda India is exporting 4500 units per month.
Get your facts straight. Stopped seeing as soon as I heard that you put brezza and nexon in the Elevate's Segment. Maruti's offering is grand vitara and tata's offering now is curvv.
