The improvement in staying in ear and active noise cancellation make it worth the cost for me. I already spent $250 on the buds, might as well enjoy them when i use them with less constant adjustmentts to reseat.

Switched to comply on my B&O E8 3rd gen and never went back. The passive noise cancelation is fantastic and they can be in my ears all day with no problem. Also I was very surprised with how long they last, my comply’s lasted a year before I replaced them. They even still had life in them when I replaced! Highly recommend

For the first time, I’m going to switch to foam tips. I’ve been using hooked earbuds for over a decade, going through multiple pairs. I always use hooked once specifically because they always fall out - it doesn’t help that my left ear canal is slightly smaller than the right, & the usual small tips that come with the average buds don’t fit me. I have to use sports ones specifically as they tend to stay in longer. Despite all this, I still have to adjust since they always push themselves out. I recently replaced my worn out wired buds for wireless. It’s got great treble & base, although it mostly just treble since they slip out if I unclench my teeth. I travel to work so barely hearing the music with the sound of the bus around me doesn’t make for a fun ride. I’m seriously hoping that the foam ones would fix most of my problems.

I use foams by necessity, my right ear is different than my left and I've never been able to get a proper seal on the right side with single flange tips. Which means I either need double/triple flange (which are a nightmare in the gym) or foam tips, and comply has foams for nearly every earbud so I've been using foams for a few years now. What I'd like to know is why there aren't any foam tips for the Bose QuietComfort 2 earbuds. I had to return them basically the same day due to the fact that the seal was nonexisting, which coupled with the incredible ANC made me feel nauseous. Quite sad, because otherwise I was very impressed by the QC2.

Great video as usual. I am currently testing (for AirPod Pro 2) the Comply (of course) and Foammaster foam tips, and the Azla SednaEarfit Max, Charjen Pro, and MandarinES Symbio tips. I use two fans in my bedroom at different frequencies to test the ANC. I’d love to have you test the top ear tips for the AirPod Pro 2!

@@aaronloudnwireless Haven’t decided yet. That’s why I want your tests! LOL! I will say, based on your ear tips tests for the Sony WF-1000XM4 buds, I’ve always been a fan of Azla Sedna Earfit tips, but the Max tips for the AirPod Pro 2 have an issue (for me) in that when I take them off the AirPods the black connector piece stays on the buds and takes work to get it off. Not sure I ever got it properly refit in the tips
@raymondchandler469

@@DBAMAN7 I’m finding, so far, the Symbios to be my favorites. They’re a silicone/foam hybrid and when I seat them properly (the biggest issue for all eartips is perfect fit) the sound of both fans, at different frequencies and different parts of the room, just disappears. And I have to do more testing but I think bass on music is “tighter”.

I've tried over 50 different tips on my 64 Audio U12t's, and I'll tell you the soft foam seal always increases the sound quality. There are no silicone tips in the world that can seal like foam. I've found the marshmallow tips from Campfire Audio to be the best of the best. For bigger ports like on the '23 Annihilator IEM, the SonicFoam tips on Amazon produce by far the best sound quality, rendering silicone tips unusable in comparison.

Living in France and having foam tips from the wf-1000xm4, I asked Sony to change them (in order to keep the same ANC and the same quality of noise attenuation). On the French site, they do not sell them and do not offer a reseller. After several emails directing me to resellers for professionals or to Japan and Canada (which did not export), they decided to offer me 2 pairs. I also picked up a pair from a friend who doesn't have the same ear size as me (I gave him his ear tip size from my original stock). Small testimony for those being in my situation = Be courteous in your exchanges and ask them for replacement tips :)

I agree with *Aaron.* I used to use my _Spinfits_ all the time for my _Samsung Galaxy Buds +._ I rarely use those nowadays, except maybe to go to sleep in. Ultimately, there was a time I thought _Spinfits_ were the greatest thing since sliced bread. Not so much anymore. I do wonder if perhaps the silicone tips are simply being better made nowadays. 🤔🤷🏼‍♂️

Excellent video Aaron. Glad you noted the issues with fitting in the charging case. I was initially a foam user/advocate. I have since decided to utilize the silicone on all but one of my earbuds. I currently use the Comply foam for my _upgraded_ *Liberty Air 2 Pros* because I had difficulty keeping them securely in place. The foam helped with that immensely, but they do not fit in my case. Keeping those two foam tips somewhere convenient while the earbuds are charging has been a bit of a hassle. Again, excellent video. Thanks. Be well!🙋🏼‍♂️

Recently got a set of Sennheiser memory foam tips (medium size), now they're my default eartips of choice.

My reason for silicone: two ear infections within 3 years and 10 or more years without when using silicone. You will not care about foam when tinitus kicks in. Silicone is easy to clean and disenfect but foam will get brittle fast. Another tip: if you get an infection, dont use cyprofloaxacin or similar chinols

Hi i have the Sony xm4s, and as we all know they came with foam tips. I have seen and read , on various reviews and vids that they are uncomfortable, cause irritation etc. Well, i personally persevered with these tips and after breaking them in, i find them very comfortable with zero irritation. they are my go to tips. i have them on my xm4s and my linkbuds s. My two cents, people are too quick to judge.

We can enhance the performance of the original ear tips that come with the IEMs through two simple tweaks, eliminating the need for expensive replacements: Tweak 1: First, I insert the foam tip onto the nozzles of my IEM. Secondly, I trim away the stem of a silicone tip and utilize the silicone dome to cover the foam tip. Then, I apply two tiny drops of super glue between the foam tip and the silicone dome to secure them together. (Tip: Ensure that the silicone tip matches the shape and size of the foam tip, and the bore of the silicone dome must not be smaller than that of the foam tip.). Tweak 2 (if you do not have form tip): I use a small strip of Blu Tack, wrapping it around both nozzles of my IEMs behind the dome of ear tips. To ensure effectiveness, I straightened the domes attached to the nozzles before wrapping the Blu Tack strip and then flap back the dome. Both tweaks achieve the sonic characteristics and benefits of both silicone and foam tips for my IEM. The results were noticeable - passive noise isolation improved by nearly 70%, the bass and sub-bass became tighter and more controlled, the treble revealed more details, vocals gained a crisper quality, and the soundstage exhibited an extension. This tweak worked remarkably well for IEMs using only a single BA driver, such as FIIO FA1 and other budget IEMs like those from KZ, CCA, and TRN. You can experiment with different impacts by applying half or full-filled strips of Blu Tack on various shapes and sizes of ear tips' holes/bores. My favorite improvement is achieved by wrapping a half-filled Blu Tack on round-shaped and large hole/bore tips. Feel free to explore and innovate, as there's nothing to lose.

I must be the outlier here then, 'cause foam tips just doesn't work for me. Either they're extremely uncomfortable like the stock WF-1000XM4 tips (fuck Sony for making them the only factory tips, I almost traded them because of these motherfuckers!), or outright doesn't fit into my ears at all like the Dekoni tips. Though it's probably just my ears since even Azla Xelastec/Sedna doesn't fit my ears at all even with the smallest size. Ended up making do with SpinFit and these are actually pretty good, and actually provides (slightly) more noise isolation than the stock LinkBuds S tips.

Foam tips are overrated. Sure there are pros and cons but overall I prefer silicon tips. Cons: -It attracts wax and other filth so easily. -It doesn't last as long as silicon tips. -I don't notice it improves bass significantly enough. Good fitting silicon tips can achieve same level of bass in my experience. -because it can change form, angle of the nozzle may not stay stable in ears.
