3 Reasons I Think MultiVERSUS is Better Than Super Smash Bros  

For everyone being negative in the comments, I never hated on smash and never said it was bad or dead. I clearly stated this is my opinion and that I just enjoy MULTIVERSUS more. Read the description on the video, I never said anything bad about smash. Just pointing out what I like better about MULTIVERSUS

In my opinion I prefer smash. The whole reason it's been £60 for a while is because it's worth the £60. I'm not saying multiverses is bad but just because the game is free isn't really a reason for the game itself to be better. It's cool that multiverses is cross platform but then again the whole reason smash is only on switch is because most character collabs are Nintendo cross overs. The price is higher on smash since there is so much more on it such as tournaments, way more items, final smash and final smash meter, shields, way more stages with better effects in my opinion, more classic Nintendo sound tracks, classic mode, home run, you also unlock all the characters ( apart from the optional dlc packs you can buy) just by playing the game and although you can do this in multiverses the variety of characters are unreal there are about 72 I think (if u wish correct me if I'm wrong) and even a full storyline in adventure mode to play through where you can select hard mode, medium or easy where during the story mode you fight to collect more and more spirits ( which are many of collabs) that can match your play style but perks are also decent in multiverses. At the end of the day I like smash Bros more since they have more of everything there is to offer. Although multiverses you can only play 1v1, 2v2, that mode where you fight CPU, 1v1v1v1, customs, and who knows when they'll finally release ranked. All of those modes that multiverses has smash Bros has too and way more. This is just my opinion and I'm not saying I hate multiverses I've been grinding both of the games and enjoying them but smash Bros has more to offer in the game. And also because of the lack of characters in multiverses I can't go online without a finn spamming up special. Ps: I think I need a more counter

I think my reason why I think it’s better is because just the way the game plays. It’s designed in a way where it is super easy to learn and keep playing for hours on end. Also, it’s made in a way where you can really FEEL the hits you do, if that makes sense. But overall, I’d say these games are pretty much equal.

I also prefer multiversus to smash, I always found smash heavy in a way, it’s so hard to describe but I always liked the feeling of multiversus more than smash. Then the characters are more iconic to me and I like that it’s free and cross platform with actually good online, it’s just better imo. Hopefully it comes back better than before too

Yea 12 characters vs 81. Multiversus wouldn't exist without smash. Smash will always be king of that type of game.

Spirits in smash bros gives more effective perks and flat out makes the game much more fun. Some of the perks in multiverse can barely be used and sometimes only in teams.

Nobody talks about Brawlhalla. It’s free, all taunts are universal, still updates, has battle passes, free on ALL platforms, has some of the biggest money prizes and has better Wi-Fi than smash

Couple of counter arguments: - Smash, despite costing money, has quite a lot more content, including a solo mode, alternative battle styles, and challenges - Perks are NOT as interchangeable and varied as Spirits - The game is also portable. You try lugging your Xbox or PlayStation around lol - Smash has minecraft steve I personally see Multiversus like how I see between Brawlhalla and Rivals of Aether. Both solid, both do their own things well. Multiversus will be a celebration of television, Smash a celebration of gaming.

My only counter is that Spirits and Quirks are kinda the same. Perks are just more "main streamed" and less busted. The online is better too, lack of lag and you dont need no crappy online subscription. That being said tho, the amount of characters, the content, items + pokeballs + assist trophies + music + stages + representation, other modes (rip Target Smash and Smash Run tho), and representations of multiple series. There's just too much Smash for your butts. I agree that Multiversus does a lot right, but in my opinion, it doesn't amount nearly as enough to what Smash Bros is.

Smash will remain more relevant in the long term. It has a way bigger community, it has mods for every single game in the series, and with games like brawl and melee, you actually can play with other ppl who are on PC and not just their consoles. Plus there are better and more characters in Smash.
