For everyone being negative in the comments, I never hated on smash and never said it was bad or dead. I clearly stated this is my opinion and that I just enjoy MULTIVERSUS more. Read the description on the video, I never said anything bad about smash. Just pointing out what I like better about MULTIVERSUS

You seem to forget something....Perks are much worse than spirits

1. smash has dlc witch explains the price, multiverus has micro transactions because it’s free. 2. Smash is a Nintendo game so of course it is a switch exclusive. 3. Perks in multiversus change the character sure but even then a meta is going to be a thing, in smash you are required to learn the character and use skill, also there are custom moves in smash 4, and the mii fighters exist.

Perks > Spirits Basically they don’t let you deal 50% in a single move, and they encourage teamwork

Smash is better. And not because of the actual game, but more of what's surrounding the game. It's the biggest fighting game and crossover in history, there's 80+ characters, 1000+ musics, 70+ stages, 1400+ spirits, a "story mode", and it is such a love letter to video games that i can't fully agree that multiversus is better. Smash is such a complete game that is going to and still will be the biggest name in the platform fighting genre.

The reason why smash never went down in price is bc Nintendo never does sales so the people that buy the game right away dont feel cheated when it goes down 4 a lower price.

In my opinion I prefer smash. The whole reason it's been £60 for a while is because it's worth the £60. I'm not saying multiverses is bad but just because the game is free isn't really a reason for the game itself to be better. It's cool that multiverses is cross platform but then again the whole reason smash is only on switch is because most character collabs are Nintendo cross overs. The price is higher on smash since there is so much more on it such as tournaments, way more items, final smash and final smash meter, shields, way more stages with better effects in my opinion, more classic Nintendo sound tracks, classic mode, home run, you also unlock all the characters ( apart from the optional dlc packs you can buy) just by playing the game and although you can do this in multiverses the variety of characters are unreal there are about 72 I think (if u wish correct me if I'm wrong) and even a full storyline in adventure mode to play through where you can select hard mode, medium or easy where during the story mode you fight to collect more and more spirits ( which are many of collabs) that can match your play style but perks are also decent in multiverses. At the end of the day I like smash Bros more since they have more of everything there is to offer. Although multiverses you can only play 1v1, 2v2, that mode where you fight CPU, 1v1v1v1, customs, and who knows when they'll finally release ranked. All of those modes that multiverses has smash Bros has too and way more. This is just my opinion and I'm not saying I hate multiverses I've been grinding both of the games and enjoying them but smash Bros has more to offer in the game. And also because of the lack of characters in multiverses I can't go online without a finn spamming up special. Ps: I think I need a more counter

It's fine thinking that multiversus is better, its an opinion after all, but the reasons you listed were absolutely idiotic. Only one of the reasons actually had to do with gameplay, and that one reason was dumb too. Your point to why perks are good in multiversus is so you can tweak characters to suit your playstyle. Smash doesnt need that. Smash has 82 different fighters, there is bound to be at least one character to fit your playstyle. Also Smash has the Mii fighters which you can costumize their moveset. Multiversus has a much smaller roster, so it has perks to make characters be a little different. But that is not nearly as in depth of costumization that Smash has.

Smash bros is a AAA game that been worked on for years with characters from Mario to Minecraft, to kingdom hearts, while multiversus is an indie game with like 3 years of development time, and has little characters from just one company. 2. Smash bros is a NINTENDO PROPERTY, for NINTENDO CONSOLES. 3. Spirits.

I also prefer multiversus to smash, I always found smash heavy in a way, it’s so hard to describe but I always liked the feeling of multiversus more than smash. Then the characters are more iconic to me and I like that it’s free and cross platform with actually good online, it’s just better imo. Hopefully it comes back better than before too

I prefer smash gameplay but Multiversus has more creative freedom, I wasn’t expecting them to add Gizmo but now they have im excited to see what else they might add

Personally, I'm a smash guy, multiversus kinda falls into the category of a novelty game, a game that might get social media attention, but most will eventually get bored of it. Benefits of playing multiversus: casual not spam friendly, popular ips f2p Benefits of smash: popular ips competitive story mode huge character roster and personally for me, the smash series is more fun in general
