You nailed it on why it's good to carry a Zippo, I don't smoke and have mine for all these reasons. Plus it's also something cool to fidget with, long before that "fidget toys" was a thing!
That is a PERFECT comparison with saying how you fill your car up once a week, why can’t you just remember to fill the Zippo up as well. Perfectly said brother Great video!

Strangely enough I used to carry a Zippo lighter to high school back around 2011. I would flick the lid back and forth like a fidget toy. Since I have ADHD sometimes it's hard for me to focus. Fidgeting with the Zippo lid helped relieve some anxiety. I was just really surprised that my teacher didn't mind, though she did know I had ADHD and probably knew it was my way of coping. I still carry a Zippo to this day, and like you said in the video once you get one you end up wanting to get some more expensive ones, that's exactly what I did lol. Now I collect Zippo lighters.
I'm a King's Scout (Commonwealth Eagle Scout). My dad bought me a Zippo for my first camp and I've carried it ever since. I smoke a cigar maybe once a month, but the utility of having an instant flame in your pocket is so undervalued nowadays. When I'm in the field, it constantly comes in handy and it's earned a place in my pocket even when I'm in town.
I got my first and only (so far) Zippo about a year ago. I love it and I'm not a big smoker and would only use it for a Cigar every once in a while. I realized that the original inserts aren't good for cigars so I purchased the double butane insert and enjoy it. I'm thinking about carrying it on me daily after seeing this video. Usually it just sits at my computer desk and I'll mess around with it lol. Keep up the great content!
All great points, by the looks of the comment section here I'm def not the only non smoker to carry a zippo. Now i just need to stop being lazy and switch to cotton bacon and start using the sandwich bag trick to get my fuel to last.
I've started to carry one and I've even had a few comments saying what's the point etc. I just tell them one because I can and because there are times having one is useful and would rather have one and not need it than need it and not have it. I have found out about a company called S.T Dupont and I aint going to lie I'm temped to pick one up although if I did I wouldn't ever get of my zippo as I do really like the one I have.
Yeah man it is useful and preference. The DuPont are nice bro. I think all vintage petrol lighters are cool. But growing up when I did I just have a sentimental attachment to zippos particularly
Yeah I can understand that. I do see why people love zippo's as I love the one I have and got the twin flame in mine, the way a zippo looks and the quality I love with them to. I saw the Dupont lighters and was just like "damn" especially seeing how the look and that ping they make is heavenly. I don't need one especially having a zippo but I do want one but with having the torch flame in the zippo can use them for different things
@@Zippofanatic77outdoors Well I know jet flames do work better than soft flame in certain situations and I want to get back into camping as well which I'm not going to take something like the Dupont for camping as I'd be unhappy if I scratched it up but with the zippo I wouldn't be as worried.
@@SubaruWRC1996 yeah the abundance of cheap zippos make it much more easier to carry. For camping I would only bring fluid. I wouldn’t even bring butane. Lol that’s just me though ! Bring your butane bottle with u and a torch is always better for lighting camp fires quicker lol

Nah,just one Zippo is not enough,i want more after getting one white Zippo as my birthday present from my wife since i always losing my cheap lighters after hanging out with friends🤣,still saving a leftover parking budget for armor Zippo 168.

Never sent in that Marlboro because they won’t fix it. But actually it’s been 2 months and I have not got them back from repair yet. Starting to get pissed off lol

I carry like 3-5 lighters with me a lot of people ask me do you smoke or do drugs is that why you carry so many lighters then I pull out my knife and I say I'm not a murderer but I carry a knife why is that?
