03:51 If you're overtaking like that, you as a motorcyclist should be expecting those kind of situations and anticipate. No way that car has the ability to see you in time, unless he's superman and can look through the cars in front. Maybe technically for the law he's wrong for pulling out into traffic, but if another driver is so nice to let him pass you can't really blame him for going. Not sure how it's arranged in the UK but here in the Netherlands as a motorcyclist in that situation I have be extra cautious overtaking like that, and if I get into an accident I'm definitely at fault as well. It's more kinda allowed if you do it in a slow paced manner but still not technically legal.
That's correct. I always expect them not to see me that's why I hit the brakes . I don't insist on my right otherwise I'd have accidents every day. This city is a jungle . I ride approximately 3 hours every day. I have so many missed calls !
Every UK city is pretty much the same! Another big problem I may add, which isn’t spoken about enough is delivery Scooters! Cagers never liked bikes before, now thanks to delivery mob on 125cc scooters they HATE everyone on two wheels! Why? Because those guys don’t have ANY rules or respect to anyone else on the road, and their delivery time is the most important thing in the world! So it’s constant unregulated RACE on public roads and even pavements and walkways! Seriously I love everything two wheels, but this gang like behaviour is doing my heading!
Delivery situation is really bad in London. Most of them don't have a licence ( using the L plate scheme ) so they don't really know how to ride or where to give priority. I steer away from them !
London is the last place I would ever ride in the entire UK. You ride into London, get robbed, your bike is stolen and you get the train out if you've still got any money or cards.
20mph zones are absolutely ridiculous, I’m down in the southwest and they are trying to enforce them here but no one would listen to them just going 30mph like all the other roads around the stretch of 20mph so now they are covered in speed cameras to catch you out and it’s just making traffic everywhere (cuz the 20mph zone was a 30 for years then the council put blocker things to make the Road artificially smaller so they could put down the speed limit to a crawl and put in speed cameras to catch people out to get money out of them, it’s always about the money not people’s safety cuz on a bike 20 is fucking impossible so I just cover my plate with my hand)
@CrispyTheCongueror Couldn't agree more. Even roads that are 2 lanes per direction is 20mph now... My bike literally won't go 20 I need to hold the clutch. It's only about the money, noone cares about your safety,if they did they wouldn't allow lunatics to drive their black Mercedes or BMW
😂😂😂, I miss summer already brother… since getting my tracer I’ve come back to London less and less, I’ve taken a job outside of London just so I get a better ride. London will increase your skills as a rider very quickly though. A video on your thoughts whilst riding would be great. Great video as always brother, ride safe and stay blessed.
I loved London and rode my bike there for 25 years. Cycled all over too. Loved going through the parks on bicycle. I miss that. Not a nice place to ride a motorbike though. Nervous all the time. I moved to Yorkshire by the coast and bought a Moto Guzzi V7 and it’s so so good. The riding is lovely. Ride safe 👍🏻
I also drove a bus for 15 years and the 20 mph was so so hard to keep to. Really ruins your joy to drive. Can’t even give the gas a poke when the road is clear. You always feel you have to be containing yourself. Holding back. Not nice. Safer yes but not necessary. It’s all a scam
I hear you . At this point and after so many years I don't enjoy riding here. When I ride to the coast or elsewhere I do love it. I guess it comes with the city. Can't be avoided!
You seemed fairly relaxed in this vid 😀 There wasn't a problem with the car pulling out of Wickes other than perhaps your speed and road position (which was filtering) ;)
I'm always relaxed when riding in London! Every single day I am avoiding so many accidents ! No doubt that a rider with no experience would have big issues here !!
people may end up just riding without insurance if its impossible to ride any bike which will create alot of legal problems for the whole of London if everybody had no insurance. That will not be enforceable practically impossible to enforce by police. And insurance companies would actually go bankrupt if that happened. But thats what the WEF want for their grand plan.
@@zidisrider you loose either way you pay even more for insurance if something happens to the bike or stolen, or you get your bike seized by police with no insurance.
The speed limit is set by the Council. So Labour councils will follow the Major (Labour) guideline of 20mph across the whole council (see Lewisham as an example) and introduced road closures during drop off and pick up times in schools roads. Tory councils on the other hand still have 30mph limit but might have a 20mph or even 15mph limit on school roads (not closing them)....it's a nightmare cos the same road can go through council boundaries and change limit and obviously the signage is always as small as they can get away with so drivers/riders are very likely to miss it....just a scheme to make money on tickets!
I'd love to get the Honda CB650R but having it in London is silly because you're not going ride that fast anyway since london is becoming a 20mph zones!! I blame Sadiq Khan and the councillors who aren't motorists in the first place! So I'm leaning towards a 125cc now.😅
I ride in london, youre bang on with all those points. They wouldnt even insure you on a VFR?! I love that bike but thats crazy they wouldnt even insure you on a sports tourer. Insurance is a joke
I tried 5-6 different bikes as I'm easy going,I'm not loyal to any brand. Whatever had "Sport Tourer" on the title they wouldn't insure it on my current address no matter the value ! For instance they would insure me a BMW s1000XR which cost £20K but not a Kawasaki S1000SX which cost £6K used. Go figure
@@hisride I don't think so ! They don't want people to ride anything here and especially nothing with sport in the title ! Although that doesn't mean there are not loopholes
@jimporter I also have a 300. That one also dont like it. I dont know where you live if you ride bikes but 20mph is unnatural for any vehicle being either very high on first ( car ) or second gear naturally will go faster.
@@jimporter *whom For any road user who ends up at the receiving end of some BMW X5 or Audi Q7 or posh Range Rover's road rage. These aren't the most patient of people to begin with, and now some bureaucrat is imposing a 20mph limit on them. Guess who they're going to take it out on...
