I agree with you, but then again if I were Tim Allen, I wouldn’t want anything to do with a children’s movie that features gay relationships. It’s sick to do that. That’s another way that Disney shot themselves in the foot.
On top of your points add in the fact that toys normally use voice clips etc from whatever movie tv show etc that theyre quoting, making the toy voice version the same freaking voice as whatever it's based off of. Love the fact you pulled the animated series with tim doing the voice as a reference point. Meaning tim was real buzz and toy buzz. Like gtfo outta here with that "it's a different version so it's okay" no there's more to it then that. Disney execs have been making poor decisions for too long now. Personally from what little research ive done and seen they basically shot themselves in the foot with this decision. Anyone who has seen the movie and knows tims acting capabilities would know he could have very well done this movie the same with no effort at all, but with the effort he wouldve given it would've made the movie so much better. Its just par okay mediocre. The main saving grace to the movie is a character that literally shouldn't exist... Sox, I love sox and I would most definitely would have loved to have seen tims buzz role off soxs character much more then evans. Without Sox this movie would be a 4 or less out of 10 for me. And Again he technically shouldn't even exist. If this was a movie within a movie, meaning this is Andy's favorite movie from within the toy story universe, then Sox most definitely would've been in existence in any of the toy story movies. There is no way, absolutely no way that cat would not have become a major hit toy along with Buzz whether Andy would've owned a sox as well as a buzz could be debatable but we would most definitely have seen him somewhere from within the toy story universe. It was unnatural and wrong hearing Evans. I mean maybe I should at least credit him for trying to sound like Tim at parts... But if he was trying to sound like Tim... They should've just used tim, the company most likely would've saved money due to Allen enjoying the role so he wouldn't have been as costly as well as the movie would outright have been better and done better in the box office. Less pay in and more payout??? Yeah another shot to their own foot for disney. Shocked they're not crippled yet with how many times they've shot themselves.
Very vaid points to make and I think Disney has shot themselves in the foot with bs decisions more times than I can count. No wonder there was that mass exodus of animators leaving Pixar for John Lassiter's Skydance Animation at Paramount after the fallout Turning Red back in March. Its like for the company its activism first and entertainment second which me and everyone else is getting sick and damn tired of. I quote this in any video I watch about what's going in culture that I believe best sums up what I'm trying to say about the issues as a whole. "When you replace escapism with realism, it's no longer fantasy". And I stand by that statement to this day.
@@retromeister3709 slightly off topic. But still on topic with disney and foot shots. For a long time ive been hoping they may remake treasure planet. Either that or finally bring the second one out. However at this point I hope they leave that series be, due to they would only damage its quality with whatever blasphemy theyd want to update it with. Smh
@@theshotgundog I would love for more original content that isn't politically driven from Disney, but that all depends on the leadership there. As Doomcock says it best, without respect we reject. So I'll believe the changes when I see them.
