They invest a ton of money in to research and development of new steels and are undoubtedly the industry leader when it comes to blade steels!

I don't always carry a spyderco, but when I do, I spydie flick it. Hell, if I'm carrying a knife I can't spydie-flick, I'm honestly a little sad. People hate on them, but somehow I didn't even like spyderco, and now out of 30ish knives, I have 8 spydercos 🤣 No para 3, but 2 pm2s 🤷‍♂️ Well put together review! 👊🤘

Nice review. I went with the Stretch 2 XL to pair with my dragonfly 2. VG-10 made in Japan is recipe for greatness. But this is the American model thats first on my list.

I have the yojimbo 2 and a para 3 lightweight. I really like spyderco knives. Im looking to get a para 2 in s45v. It may not be practical but the yojimbo is my favorite of the knives that I have had in hand.

I just picked up my first PM2 and have quickly fallen in love. Makes me want a Para 3 and a Military when those drop with the compression lock. Might need a 2nd para 3 just to add the karambit ring, I really dig that

Got a couple paras and a sage 5 from Taiwan. The US production needs to switch to the compression lock construction used in Taiwan. It's just smoother in every way.

I have a couple 😁 Just got 2 sets of scales today courtesy of Mr. Ken Harris and I have some contoured skinny ti RGT scales on the way! I own like 30-40 Spydercos and they are all completely customized… I LOVE IT!! I posted up a video earlier showing the scales from Ken though 😁

Damn brotha thats a pretty sizeable collection! I love modifying spydercos, so many ways to make them perfect for you or to try something new and get a completely different feel, some people prefer just the stock variants but honestly ti/micarta scales are the way to go

@@Rollshambo I think they are pretty great bone stock but it’s hard to keep them that way when you have unlimited aftermarket parts options! Might be able to keep it stock for a little while but eventually you’ll see someone else’s customized knife that just looks too good and the temptation becomes irresistible! The only thing I think pm2s or para3s actually need is a LynchNW or MXG clip but I can tolerate the spoon clip if I have to.

Nice man, I still need to modify my pm2 shaman smock and manix 2 but that's a very hefty project😂..so far I've started with pocket clips but the scales are going to get expensive real quick

I don't personally have one, but I've gifted a couple to a friend. They do have a certain appeal to them. I helped modded one out with titanium scales and it feels nice. I haven't seen the mods that is on your Para 3 before, but it does inspire 😅😅 I currently have my sights set on the Shaman and want to mod that out too

I don’t own a Para3, because I have a M4 Sage5 LW instead. I prefer the Sage’s blade geometry, and it has a superior action, (and superior design overall, imo), compared to the Para3. Taichung’s build quality is also higher than Golden’s often is. I might pick up a Para3, the next time a REX45 version is released. We’ll see. There are a couple other Spyderco models much higher on my “to buy” list.

This is really swood. I love Spyderco, I love the wave. I own far and above more Spydercos than any other brand, 25+ compared to the next runner up at like 7 lol. Also, the waves and rings, yes! I did the wave/ring to my Lil Matriarch, a Wave on a Yojumbo and PM2, and rings on my Matriarch 2s. I own 8 PM2s, should probably have one Para 3 haha. P.S: There's no Para 3 in Magnacut, did you mean Maxamet?

I appreciate the support :D , personally I dont think you can go wrong with either, for me it comes down to the lock, the compression lock is one of the best on the market for being user friendly and allows for easier manipulation when opening and closing, that said spyderco makes one of the best production back locks so they arent stiff like they can be on a lot of other knives. Be careful though, once you go down the spyderco rabbit hole it can be hard to come out on the other side without 10 more in your collection

I can’t disagree with your reasoning especially the first one but I also can’t help but see the same problem with Glock handguns Yea it’s cheap(er) and it works but you need to modify everything about it before it works really good

Hey just wanted to say thanks for supporting the channel, something that I failed on by waiting to take this para3 back to stock for the comparison video I did was emphasize just how much I liked this carry before I changed anything about it, I know it's not for everyone but if no mods had been available I still would have thought it a great option for people...that being said I 100% agree with you about glocks😂🙌🔥🔥

Owned it twice, sold it twice. Both the lightweight and G10 variant. Sorry to be that guy, but I cannot stand the Para 3! Doesn't fit my hand, doesn't cut that great, just don't understand the love and hype around this knife. To anyone interested, just buy a Chaparral instead. It's infinitely better in every conceivable way (as a knife, that is).

Hey Welcome in!- I can see the confusion all my mods may create, that said the blade the lock the stop pin washers liners and pivot all stock, for me at least I'd consider those to be the heart of any knife, I just have a weakness for overbuilt knives and so I went a bit nuts modifying mine but I'd suggest the Para 3 in its stock format to anyone any day of the week

I have not seen them yet in magnacut 05:37. I guess you meant Maxamet , cause I have never seen magnacut blade on para3 even on exclusives or sprint runs. I stand corrected.

@@Rollshambo 😂Agree. Magnacut is the new m390. Every maker including Spyderco are producing some old knives in magnacut. If memory serves me right Spyderco had their first magnacut knife as native 5 salt series, currently out of stock😟. Great channel BTW. All the best.

Dont lie you're using you other hand fir things we just cant and dont want to see lol. Oh and a fyi for spyderco people benchmade deep carry clips fit on alot of spyderco knives. There is some it wont cause they do make different clip screw spacing but for alot of them the clip will work

Blade is original and liners/compression lock so the two most identifying parts are there..I mean I like g10 but titanium feels better, and I'm not a fan of the spyderco pocket clips..to each their own I guess
