3 Resampling Tips for SP Devices 

Nice video. Little tip when you have long loops and you are in the start/end menu, press ROLL to skip to the last couple of seconds of your loop for easy endpoint set.

Also, that bank tip is very useful -- it's so easy to get confused if you need to re-sample into a different bank I find, because you mixed source and resamples in one bank.

is there a way to put a the project’s bpm metronome while resampling is recording ?

Ok, SP newbie here. Why would I use the resample method when I have the pattern sequencer? I get that it’s fun to get loose with the drums, but you can set the pattern quantization to 0. Is that it’s just more fun or challenging? Am I missing something obvious? Thanks! Love my mk2 so far 😊

I'm learning the mk2 for the first time. I have a quick question. As a time and stress saver, what if I just ignored truncating the end of a resampled loop, put all my resamples in a mute group, and just placed each loop on the first step of a pattern? If the pattern length matches the *desired* length of the loop, would it work out and cut off the previous loop smoothly if they're in a mute group. I could still truncate the end of the pattern if I need to for some loops like if the drums are gonna cut out on time. I don't mean for found loops, I'm talking about resampled loops, were you already have the desired bpm that you make on the sp, like in the video. It seems like possibly a faster way than diving in to each loop and truncating the end to make it loop perfectly and using roll to listen over and over. Btw thanks for making all of these videos. This is all new to me and these videos got me thinking about workflows totally different from my groovebox roots.

i've read people complaining about timing issues when resampling. is there any truth in that?

Do you think it’s important to set all drums and samples same tempo? I ask this because when I load the samples into my SP404 MK2 they show individually different bpm’s.

One thing I noticed is when I resample the sound quality starts to go down. Past 3 resamples it gets clicky and starts to distort. Maybe this is the lofi magic of the unit but the polyphony is high. Any thoughts?

ok so maybe someone can answer this in a way I can understand. if I resample my drums in mono wouldn't that make the beat silly as the drums would only come out of one side? or can I still have mono coming out of both sides? I'm confused

You can't do a vid like this, no atter how useful it is (and it is), without mentioning those knobs.
