26:59 that statue is called the Dancing Shiva Statue, also known as Nataraja. It shows Lord Shiva, a Hindu God dancing on the head of a dwarf or asura called Apasmara, which represents forgetfulness. There is even a belief that if you stare into its eyes, you forget everything. Apart from being the god of destruction, Shiva was also known for his interest in the arts, and this statue shows the relationship between religion and the arts. Its pretty interesting to see this statue in the game tbh.
I know right??!?!!!!! I LOVE Mark SOOO MUCH!! I actually just recently discovered his channel like a month ago and I literally fell in love because he’s soo hilarious and goofy when he plays games and I also LOVE A LOT of his (horror) games. He’s now one of my FAVORITE RU-vidrs.
@@MsBlackRussia1682 a lot of people dismiss him as "another generic screaming RU-vidr" but honestly the man has some _serious_ charisma, and since his older days, he's become much more jaded to scares, not so prone to screaming anymore
The fact that Lucy turned into an Eldritch horror made me IMMEDIATELY love her even more!! I was absolutely dreading her death. I hate watching animals die in horror games or movies. So when Lucy actually fucking defends herself?! *METAL AS HELL!!* And the pixel style, the red-lit imagery, the creepy-cool proprietor at the end?? _I'm 100% playing this game!!_
Lucy is the best part of this episode, the joy her existence brought Mark when she showed on screen, the fact that she's an eldritch horror doggie....best game, best dog
Lucy: [goat eyes, weird head] Me: sprite work looks off but idk whatever, it's a free game and also a demo... Lucy: eldritch abomination Me: OH! I get it!
@@spacesmorgy6820 Who knows? Maybe it started off as a joke to show Lixian being replaced with something else. But then Mark must had a brainwave and decided to use it for another story. That’s my theory.
Markiplier 5 years ago: Five Nights at Freddy’s King, sparked the rise of the FNaF Craze Markiplier now: writing a mini horror movie via combined intros
13:25 What a solid challenge for a game, and it cleverly relies on auditory cues. The most interesting part is that once the creature is inside there is seemingly nothing you can do, it is very fast and very jarring. I won't say this is the greatest game ever but it's a great set up.
@@SmolWeeblet I see the same here. It's probbably timezone related. Oh en ik neem van je naam aan dat je uit Groningen komt, dus hallo mede-Groninger :)
imagine making a small indie horror game with you and your friends, you never expected anything other than maybe 30 plays and suddenly youre watching your favourite youtuber with 29+ mil subscribers plays it and makes it absolutely blow up
@@reoakiodesu omg sorry for the confusing wording i was meaning if one of those game makers was watching, unfortunately i havent made a fully fledged game yet but i plan on it very soon!! tysm for asking though :)
He *did* take over the channel for a… day? Somewhere around a day. Theory 'round these parts is because he's not a part of Mark or the channel, and possibly is Lixian's "dark side" that he's been able to do what Dark and the others can't.
@@tr1ple17 Military time, in normal time it would be 1:37 PM but in military time that’s 13:37, which is one of the “dank” numbers along with 420, 69, and 21
Broke: The cute dog dies protecting you Woke: The cute dog is actually an eldritch abomination that protects you and drives fear in the hearts of even monsters but they are still chill with you.
yall might be...me im not afraid of lunky never have been for me lunky is nothing but a monster where as i am a god of wolves (more of my rp self then my physical self)
@@kyutogreywolf4292 more of a bear myself. Just less hairy and cringey about it. (Jok3 because of my name Btw, or is it, only a select few will know the answer......or do they?)
@@noishhater9138 even still you still see people "hiding in the comments" and making jumpscare timesheets to be ready. But if he simply numbs people to scary stuff the video can be experienced fully.
32:39 I mean, it was pretty clear something was wrong with that dog but the people running the place trusted her explicitly nonetheleess? I was sorta waiting for this...
