Fun Fact: The 'Screams' in Slide in the Woods are actually sounds produced by an Aztec Death Whistle, there's actually a lot of interesting Aztec lore in the game.

I was shitting myself in the slide game, something so terrifying about going down a slide needing to crawl while something is coming up behind you

Slide was the best one, they did an incredible job turning a fun activity to do as a kid into a very detailed horror experience. The dated graphics made it even better.

I actually don't mind the "no lights" set up rn. When it's dark in game, it's dark in the room, the monitor basically creates the lighting and I think that'd be good for horror games at least

The use of atmosphere in the first game was so well handled.

This is like super late. However when I was a kid, the house we used to live in backed up against a dense forest. Me and my friends would venture out there. There was a stream we would have to pass over to get deeper into the woods. One night (ik ik really stupid of me) I went out alone because I heard some older kids talking about am abandoned tree house/hunting post (the two varied depending on who was talking) so I went out there. I passed over the stream and when I went deeper I found it. It was so old, but still had the ladder leading up, but I heard noises so I panicked and went back home. I practically ran. When I got to the stream, the woods were dead silent. I was more scared of the Silence, so I don't think I've ever ran that fast. To this day, I never went back there. It was so eerie and odd.

Mark: "I'm gonna assume you guys are still alive." "Is this a dead bod?" Mark: "I assumed wrong." XD

I know I’m days late but my grandparents old neighborhood had a dense wooded areas and one day when I was like 6 my grandpa told us of an abandon playground deep in the middle. And they took us too it and it was creepy and surreal.

Mark: *Going down the slide in the middle of the forest* "WEEEE!" Slenderman: WTF is he doing over there!?

Mark: "Am I some kind of robot?" I mean... The fact that the game is called Sentient combined with the sounds you make when you move...

Omg, I recently found out about the weirdest and one of the scariest things for me - stairs in the woods. There’s a subreddit with stories about them + some videos on RU-vid. The concept is so strange and frightening for some weird reason

holy fuck the slide in the woods was so simple but probably one of my favorite horror games ive watched mark play. it was tense and terrifying and the sound design was just soo good. had me at the edge of my seat for a solid 8 minutes.
