The ocean is so vast. There is no way we know everything that is in it. I'm 100% that there are large sea creatures that live deep down at the bottom of the ocean.

Because if they admitted people see what they say, then there's tons we don't know...and to be afraid of. So people discredit, and live in denial so they can talk themselves into feeling safe. Seems silly to me to ignore credible events until they swim up and bite us in the ass...

My thoughts are that huge sea creature were near the surface alot more cuz of the fact that ships were wind and row powered and therefore relatively quiet. With the advent of motors and loud noises being herd from away, sighting drastically have been reduced. Maybe?

My dad was a offshore fisherman in nsw Australia he has some stories 1 of a large unidentifiable creature pulled up in the nets that started thrashing and destroying the net. And that was the captains main concern he demanded it was let loose before causing more damage to the net. On a few occasions human bodies were pulled in and quickly returned to the ocean aswell.
@gerikekisgvel
@gerikekisgvel 6 месяцев назад
The first is understandable, he is not a scientist he is a working man who needs his tools intact. But throwing back a human body? Thats scummy as fuck. That was someones son, father or brother. That could bring closure to someone or even solve a crime.

Like when a Orca washed up on a beach. Checked out by marine biologists they said it was almost bitten in half right under the dorsal fin. Only connected with six inches thick of it's back with one bite. The wound looked like a shark bit.

So fascinating and so frightening. Real monsters ascending from the abyss, prehistoric survivors of asteroidal disasters and cometary cataclysms. The massive Gloucester Sea Serpent was seen by many people in Massachusetts and Cape Ann over two hundred years ago. Dont walk too closely to the oceans sandy rocky coastal shore lines especially at night, you may suddenly find yourself trapped within jaws of living breathing devouring hell.

I wouldn't put it out of the realm of possibility that a group of people could think a submerged balloon could be a sea serpent the depth of the water and lighting can make things appear a lot different than they are and you also have the power of suggestion when one excited person yells Sea monster! others that come running on to the scene will be influenced by hearing that and their imagination will also distort reality in the moment and make them see what they want to see

We have not even begun to discover, traverse or lay our eyes upon the depths of the oceans that are all intertwined,interconnected nor discus the possibilities that lay within our vast oceans across this globe. It is estimated that we have achieved a glimpse of a mere 5%, a percentage that is simply moot. There have been times in recent history that a sea creature has fallen onto our shores which caused ga striking example of what little we know now or are to know within my lifetime. There are creatures known to live more than 3,000+ feet bellow the surface, and yet we are still no closer to these answers. We must admit that we don’t know and accept our shortcomings. Though, I am heartbroken for those that spoke out and shared their experiences and findings which ruined their careers. We have much, much more to learn so we should keep our minds open.

In response to the first story, the description very much aligns with the nothosaurus. I believe it to be a sub-species of mosasaur. But that thing went extinct 200 million years ago and it only grew to about 25 feet tops (from what we currently understand). Just figured I'd put this out there so people interested can look it up. The second story reminds me of that photo taken by a man on a beach of a "giant tadpole" in the water that was massive. I cannot help but wonder if the two are related. I have no explanation for a sea snake large enough to wrap around and crush a whale though. The last story almost sounds like some super species of oarfish. I am perplexed by that one. 80 feet would be massive and it was fast too. It was swimming 16 mph in water.

Fascinating stories. As seawater covers such a large proportion of the earth’s surface it would be surprising if there were not things in it still to be discovered and scientifically described. Two points: Whales are not fish and a knot (speed) is one nautical mile per hour. It is unnecessary and incorrect to say ‘knots per hour.’

I am not saying these events didn't happen. I am simply making an observation subject to correction in the event of proof to the contrary.
