One thing to note: ALWAYS, ALWAYS SCAN BEFORE RECEIVING YOUR PASS OR EVEN WHEN U'RE NOT EVEN RECEIVING THE BALL. Having a good space awareness = understanding of your environment

This video is incredible. I was an undiagnosed autistic kid when I played, and nobody ever explained what these kinds of drills were for, or how they were helpful - I always thought they were a waste of time because I was never going to dribble like that in a game. I didn't know the basics about turning into space, I wish I'd had a video like this when I was younger. Too many people focus on drills without showing clear in-game examples of when you're actually going to use those skills.

I appreciate the thought and research that you put into this video to find so many examples from a match. A lot of creators would have been satisfied with 1-2 examples of a pro turning with the ball under pressure but you kept going. Respect 🤜

One addition. Having a good first touch is great and a necessity, but if you're not studying your surroundings constantly you'll never know where that first should go. And that's a skill you can only gain with game experience. You should aim to constantly have a 360 degree radar in your head of all the opponents and teammates. Being able to one touch into space and dribble is great. Being able to one touch, and lob the ball to a teammate running in behind a defender will win you games. Also, having good teammates who communicate helps. A "man on" goes a long way.

you should add some fints before you recieve the ball, if you practice that from the beggining its going to be more natural at play time
@lancarian1629
@lancarian1629 7 месяцев назад
Hey, amazing work on the Video, its very high quality and I appreciate the effort. Maybe I can give a few improvements on the different drills: Drill 1: as you pass the ball you can add a look behind you to check for opposing players before recieving the ball, so that you know in which direction to turn. Plus try to progress to taking less touches and to not stop the ball dead, so it doesnt move at all. Always recieve the ball and pre set it in one direction. Drill 2. Basically the same but the "dead stopping" of the ball is much more fatal, cause you open your body up and there is nothing between the ball and the opponent, so the moment the ball is stopped and you open up the ball is long gone. If you try to directly progress it the direction you want to move, the defender will have a harder time challenging you. For drill 3 its the same, too many touches and more time for the defender to close the gap. If you want to further improve it you can play the ball from behind the cones and move quickly in front of them when recieving, so you can simulate dropping away from your defender. Keep up the great work and have an amazing day. Kind regards

@FootyMadeEasy 7 месяцев назад
Thanks for this suggestion! so youre saying you'd like a video showing how to beat an opponent 1v1 and whether you should be looking at the ball or the opponent when you're facing them?

@@FootyMadeEasy No I said can you make a video on 1 v 1 in explaining one thing I should looking. What did I should look the feet on my opponent or my ball when my opponent is in front of me after I dribbled him. Did I should raise up my head to see what is around me? I know I should looking the feet on my opponent but I'm not sure is that why I ask to make a video on that please 🥺.
@mardini
@mardini 7 месяцев назад
@@carausalexei7709 in short u look at the opponent as much and as long as possible. only look at the ball when you have to, so you don't mess up the dribble. you always go the way against their body momentum. u need to learn it via practice, but in a nut shell professional football is about looking at the ball as little as possible without making mistake. for example in this drill video, u want to do his drill but must add shoulder check before you receive the ball.
@ne7885
@ne7885 7 месяцев назад
@@carausalexei7709 hey man just some advice you should not be looking at the ball that much. make sure you're looking at your opponent and if they're being too aggressive so you can take advantage of that.
@FootyMadeEasy
@FootyMadeEasy 7 месяцев назад
Gotcha and you got some good advice from other comments! I’ll add a video on 1v1s to the list! But yes you shouldn’t be looking at the ball too much during a 1v1 because you want to be able to see what the defender is doing. You also want to be able to see the space behind the defender so you can fake the defender one way and the go the other into the space behind the defender. It takes practice but you’ll get it and stay tuned for more videos!

only issue with the 3rd turn is that in this scenario (defender on your back), you are unnecessarily showing them the ball. I would also highlight the importance of looking over your shoulder before you receive the ball. sick video though, sub from me

You shouldn’t really be looking to turn and possibly give possession away the priority should be retention of possession and a pass to a team mate IMO.
@FootyMadeEasy
@FootyMadeEasy Месяц назад
It all depends on the situation. No one is saying to try and turn every time you get the ball but If you pass the ball backwards every time you receive it then you are a very predictable player that the opposing team will enjoy playing against. However if you’re able to turn at times when defenders don’t expect it then you add a different element to your game and help your team create goal scoring opportunities that they otherwise wouldn’t have.

@@FootyMadeEasy invests? I presume you mean Iniesta. Yes, Xavi played behind Iniesta, in front of the back 4, where you can't lose the ball. Thiago Alcantara does it exceptionally well too, his first ball touch is probably the best, but Xavi's awareness is unmatched.

Very risky trick. A good opponent doesn't let you time to reach the ball alone, unbalance you with the shoulder and doesn't leave you any way to round. The best decision is to pass the ball back at the first touch
@FootyMadeEasy
@FootyMadeEasy 7 месяцев назад
Thanks for the comment! Every skill has risk which is why you have to practice them a lot. Top attacking players use this skill against some of the best defenders in the world - being deceptive is key which again comes with practice. It’s very important to add variety to your game so passing the ball back sometimes is good but other times taking a risk and trying to surprise the defender can help your team score goals and win games. Thanks for watching!
