In first video, i will repair a 12v 180 Amp BMW Valeo Car Alternator and then show you how to reuse it as a power generator using a laptop charger. In second video you will learn how to use a stepper motor as a 110v 500w alternator without any modification. In third you will learn how to generate 24v from a 12v car alternator without much modification. The car Alternator rating that i have used is 12v 64 Amps which will be forced to produced 24v.

I have friends in this little 'shanty town' under a bridge and I keep telling them that they could use the power of the slow running creek under said bridge to at least give them light at night. The 5 phase motor sounds like a much better option than the 3 stage that is easier to come by. I just want to be able to help out. They said they would be willing to peddle a bike in turns also.

The 4 main components that make up an alternator are 1. Rotor 2. Stator 3. Rectifier/Diode pack 4. Voltage regulator Motors have armatures and field coils.

What if you increase the excitation with much higher Voltage? Can it generate 120 volt or 220 volts? And run AC appliances without the rectifier?

at the beginning of your testing it is normal that the alternator did not deliver any notable current, because if it was not already out of use it is for sure after you run it without being connected to a 12 volt batterie. If you let run an car alternator and disconnect the batterie you will fry the diodes of the rectifier. this is not the case with the old models of dynamos which have separate mechanical Regulators like in older cars , trucks etc.

I like the way you think. Your presentation could be improved, IMHO, by showing a hand drawn schematic of what you are doing. A schematic is easier to make sense of than a bundle of wires.

use the alternator run through diodes to charge a battery bank and run an inverter to get 220v

You can light up the "Free Energy" room with some bright lights, shining on solar panels. The bright light produces enough electricity to power themselves.
