What a useful video - thank you. Have you ever made moving wind sculptures from aluminium cans? I noticed when I made your leaf shapes and stuck them to the wire they moved easily in the breeze coming through my window
Hi Barb - Here is a link to the tutorial for the aluminum can counter top. Thanks for watching 😊 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9GI0vYLynfM.htmlsi=0QCTn5qP7PLhtAqn
Thanks for doing the testing for us. I think that I might put out the word to younger family members. They tend to try newer drinks out there. Ask them to let me know if they find brands with shrink wrap labels. Thanks again.👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I have used the Instant pot and it works ! I don't remember what and how long. But I seem to remember finding instructions online. This was like 2016 or so I'm sure it's out there in the interwebs. I was trying to remove the paint from Altoids tins, I was NOT successful with the Altoids tin. 😬🤷
Hi I have made a lot of different projects with aluminum cans but the one project that I make which requires and aluminum can without print is this dragonfly project. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-I6tKHzWioU4.htmlsi=Ui4MLSwS7oilE4no
I haven't but I don't think that would work. I don't really understand why the pressure cooker works but I think it requires more than just heat to break down the varnish sealer on the outside of the can.
@@UpcycleDesignLab I'm sure you have to watch out for the fumes! And for the love of God, wear rubber gloves, too!!! I'd hate to cost the crafting world one of its brightest stars.
I think alcohol would work better maybe the 99% if the 50% doesn't work. Or vinegar, mineral spirits, or a Borax solution. With steam, try turning the flat ones upside down and don't overlap. I think most of the printing is something akin to dye sublimation. I know it fades in sunlight over time, or maybe it's the weather that wears it off.
The Voodoo Ranger can art looks too good to scrub off. I staple metal panels with cool images onto small wood boxes and stack them to make shelving in my bathroom. I have cubbyholes sized for nail polish to hair spray cans, so there's a special place for everything. The Arizona Green Tea art looks especially lovely.
I like the Arizona tee cans as well they are pretty but I don't drink much tea. The Voodoo Ranger is one of my husband's favorites so there are plenty of can where that one came from. 🤣🤣 Thanks for watching.
