Good hints at streamlining CNC operations. When I started as a complete newbie 6 months ago, Easel was my 1st choice simple CAD/CAM app. However I noticed it was cutting every line twice, very slightly apart. Apparently common from scanned images, it would cut the inner edge, then the outer edge doubling the cut time. Always watch & understand what your CNC is doing, try to eliminate any time wasting movements. 2nd, find the sweet spot of your cutters on your chosen material for optimal cutting.
Sounds like the machine wasn't setup quite right in easel.. Go to machine>edit machine and set to hardware and "other" spindle type And you can set the spindle rpm in the cut settings panel on the right.
Another newbie error, cutting too deep. Sometimes Less is More. A 0.5-1mm cut can be as visually effective as 3-4mm. It is often safer to reduce wall breakout by leaving material thicker/wider than tall> eg | | tall & narrow wall upstand can break out . | | Thicker wall =stronger
