“Bubblehead road” is a huge legend on the city I grew up in in Missouri. So it’s true, every town has this legend. It was around when my mom was in middle school in 1965
I live in a small town in western mass and we have a “creature” called the cobble mountain critter and I live near where it supposedly haunts the forest but I haven’t met it yet
The last story is the Hopskinville Goblins, that one is my all time favorite💚 sad the name didn’t got mention😭 But I never heard that part about the woman earlier getting grab by something.

I had an "encounter" with the melonheads in Saugatuck, MI when I was a teen. The local paper ran my story during halloween time. Now, 20 years later, I'm thinking it may have just been an annoyed neighbor trying to scare us off the property.
I haven't actually had an encounter with anything paranormal but, having served in the military for ten years, I've had colleagues tell me about unexplainable experiences they had. I have no reason to doubt them, all of them were good men and women and fine soldiers. So, even though I spent quite some time looking for ghosts and paranormal experiences in my youth, without any luck, I wouldn't laugh at anyone who trusts me enough to tell me of their strange encounters. Perhaps it may be no more than their imagination, but it must have been real enough to them to cause them to discharge their weapons at some strange creature, an act that carries very severe penalties in the military. No, I think what they saw was as real to them as any living thing, frightening enough for them to fear for their own lives. BTW no one I know has ever been charged for discharging their weapons while on night patrols; something that makes me wonder if our camp commander knew more than he was willing to say. I saw some crazy stuff I can’t explain in Camp Red Devil south of Ft Carson when I was enlisted. I contracted for 6 months and had an encounter on the border of Afghanistan and Pakistan. Never told anyone I was with sue to being afraid I would have been sent to mental health for it.
In my home state of Ohio we have the Ohio Grassman our version of Bigfoot. And then there's also the Mothman even it's considered a West Virginia thing it was also seen in Gallipolis,Ohio.
From story 3- I live very close to Kirtland, OH. The cops in that town are very strict. The town is not bad though and the high school is spirited and supportive. In the summertime, like in many small towns, it’s very beautiful and lush. It’s not “scary” at night… but… it IS quite creepy indeed 💀 Goosebumps type of creepy. But not a “your life is in danger” vibe.

In Puerto Rico, we have the Chupacabras, a creature half bird or bat, half another animal, with red eyes that sucks the blood from animals, like chickens, goat and cats. Some say it was an experiment that went wrong.
The melon head sightings sound like fetal alcohol syndrome kiddos if not hydrocephalic. The doc was definitely despicable & the kids probably defended themselves from him attacking them after he brutally murdered his wife, who was their loving caretaker. We'll never truly know.
Those melon heads are misunderstood. Most don’t know they gave Christopher Pike a chance to experience life after years of being trapped in his body with no ability to move or to communicate besides yes or no.
