After playing flatpick guitar in folk groups American style for many many years I have this urge to learn flamenco style, bought a decant nylon string guitar and after getting used to it I found some of your lessons on RU-vid, thank you sir you have taught me so much in such a short time. I'm not playing in public but the grandsons are liking it and that is good to me I will be forever grateful for a little bit of Spain in the UK
Cool man! Thanks for the great lesson. I don't even have a nylon string guitar but I love the Spanish, Flamenco, and other traditional/folk music styles. This encourages me to get a new guitar.
Hola Andres, you make great content. However i would argue that your Abanicos technic is more clasical and less flamenco. To do proper Abanicos technic , you shoud use Tumb up, Annular and Major down, Tumb down. Also well known as P, AM, P. This technic using P, AM, P, is way faster and efficient. I hope this is constructive and help you to improve your technic. I really like your looping video and you teached me a lot on that regard. Good video, keep it up!!!
Hey ! I just started learning an Acoustic Guitar 3 months ago and can play 3 songs on it. I found out about my love to listen to SPANISH Flamenco guitar but found no class as to learn the guitar. So I ended up getting an Acoustic Guitar. I just love listening to Flamenco and will be following this channel for more :) Loved the way you did the video ! All the best foy your RU-vid career and have a great day ahead :)
¡Hola! Espero que les vaya bien, mis amigos y yo estamos intentando aprender esta pieza para tocarla en el cumpleaños de mi abuela, ¡así que muchas gracias por este video!
Thank you for this! I was seriously following your pull-offs and hammer-ons but had to stop and laugh at your subtle flamenco - flamingo joke! Nice one! lol
On Sean's channel you mentioned SILVIO RODRIGUEZ, an incredible artist I was introduced to when living in Costa Rica at an organic farm out in the jungle. To me, Silvio is one of the most eloquent guitarist and lyricist in the world...even though I do not speak Spanish (except very basic) I love his music. I just want to say THANK YOU for taking the time to record, edit and post these videos and share your talent and teachings with us. I subbed and belled to your channel and again, thank you.
That intro was funny, but I actually subscribed immediately because I saw you on the Sean's channel talking about differences between nylon and steel string guitars :D
Great lesson, I am a beginner with flamenco, I am curious what was the name of that backing track at 5:53 , you were playing along with, that sounded so beautiful, I was hoping to practice with that as well, but am wondering where I could find it,as well as other backing tracks, thanks again for an awesome video, I am going to subscribe, I thought your lesson was awesome 👍
Go and Check Ruben Diaz chanel to learn real Flamenco technic from Paco de lucia. Also Flamenco explained chanel to learn the basics like palmas, rasguedos, golpe, compas. Good luck in your learning !!
