LOVE these RU-vid videos on regenerative medicine. Especially on stem cells. I watch a ton of RU-vid and IG content on stem cells. Yours is amongst the best in keeping it comprehensive but simple enough for beginners to understand. I recent heard Tony Robbins say when he had stem cells, he had a “cytokine storm” can you explain what this is. He said he was told it was possible so he wasn’t alarmed but I am not clear what it is.
@JoyKongMD
@JoyKongMD Год назад
Thank you so much for your kind words. Technically, a “cytokine” storm should not have happened if the cells are of high quality, but highly expanded (grown to large numbers over many generations) can potentially cause adverse reactions such as cytokine storms. I intend to do a review on Tony Robbins’s book which contains some inaccurate information.

Does the rebuilding phase cause pain? Like causing nerve pain and inflammation while it’s regenerating the nerves?
@JoyKongMD
@JoyKongMD 5 месяцев назад
No, it should alleviate pain instead of causing pain, unless in special situations where foreign bodies are involved, and the body is trying to reject it. That happened when previously non-healing bones started to heal and rejected the hardware that were holding the bones together - this happens to one of my patients shortly after stem cell therapy...

Dr Kong, when you say their effects last up to around 6 months, that doesn’t mean that the repair work they’ve accomplished in that time somehow vanishes after 6 months right? It just means the cells are only active for that duration of time? For example, If stem cells help repair lung damage, that repaired tissue doesn’t somehow become damaged again after month 6 right? It just means that after 6 months, the MSCs are no longer continuing any MORE repair work. Do I understand that correctly I hope? Thank u for all u do…
@JoyKongMD
@JoyKongMD Год назад
Exactly. One does not lose the gains from stem cells’ repair work. But life happens, including oxidative stress, toxicity, mitochondrial decline, DNA damages, nutritional deficiencies, hormone imbalance, injuries etc… so if one does not address these factors that triggered illnesses in the first place, same problems that prompted stem cell therapy may reappear after some time, which is why an integrative approach addressing all these factors are important… This is also why sometimes patients need booster or maintenance treatment… hope this clarifies. And thank you Matt for your kind words.

Thank you for these videos! So is it normal to feel tired and inflamed a day or two after iv stem cells?
@JoyKongMD
@JoyKongMD 7 месяцев назад
It can happen depending on the person, although it almost never happens with my patients, and I think it's because of how pure our cells are and how high the percentage of MSCs are...

Hello Dr Joy. I love your videos. You are a blessing of hope and inspiration. That said I wished I had waited to come to see you when I had time off from work. I had stem cell injections two weeks ago at a rejuvenation clinic in Jupiter, Florida. I drove 1 and 1/2 hours from Miami to get there and 2 days later I had severe swelling to both of my legs but worst in my right knee which is also the worst knee and episodes of shortness of breath. 😳I took 2 aspirin when I got home from work in case I thru a blood clot. I had a combination of PRP and Stem Cells. What a waste of money. I have zero relief of pain, only the day of injection, which was most likely from the lidocaine injection prior to the procedure. I Wonder if the cells I received were even viable or Contaminated. The scary part is it was the lab tech that mixed the stem cells with the PRP. Not the doctor. I know this because I was sitting with the doctor talking the entire time while my blood was being prepped. When the tech arrived with my blood, I asked about the stem cells and Doctor replied oh it's in there. I have had PRP injections before and I never had swelling like that before. Mark you I did work for 14 hours 2nd day post injection. It will take me at least 4 to 6 months to pay off my credit card. I wish I waited to see you. Perhaps I will go to the True North center next month and do a supervised fast. I believe that will help with my osteoarthritis. I so do not want to get knee replacement before I retire in the event it fails, besides I can't afford to spend 6 months away from work 😢.

I do see this post is old, but my question is About the stems therapy. Does it have any benefits for a separated, pelvic bone(The cushion in the middle that joins both sides is gone, every doctor I’ve seen told me there’s nothing they can do about it if they try to fix it I’d be putting a wheelchair, and I went all the way up the chain, they put me on these patches around 2003(The one that is being so abused right now in the world, not by me) and I just don’t wanna be on them anymore. If something could be done about it, you’d be shocked to see the dose. (everyone is so panicked about this medicine, but nobody will do anything or tell me there’s nothing can be done, ) And as for the inflammation,, they just keep putting the dose of prednisone higher and higher, I was just told recently last, week they need to do surgery on my hip.(After my seven fusions in my spine) because there’s a lot of deterioration due to having osteoarthritis, and, psoriatic arthritis, and as I’ve told you before out of control, wildfire of inflammation, destroying my body. And every joint medicine that they’ve tried all the biologics I’ve tried every one of them except 2. They do work for my psoriasis, but do not work for the joint pain, and all the Inflammation,, just to be quick I’ve had two surgeries in the past year and a half one to remove A bulge in my lower spine, and by chance I had an x-ray on my rib and they found a mass in my lung so they took half my lung, thank God they got it all which is the reason I’m tired of being on medication probably because the injections don’t work and have never worked so they want to jump to surgery in my hip. I know it’s a lot and I apologize for writing so much on top of that. I have diabetes(Causing blurry vision) I want to get off all these medicines and the patches… one of the medication’s,they have spread out so far it can’t work , I’m just over medicine. And they keep telling me there’s nothing they can do for me! That makes me so sad because I’ve been in this house since before the pandemic and can’t walk. maybe if they would address these problems as they came along I wouldn’t be in this mess, but I’m still young and have so much. I wanna do mainly help people to feel better about themselves through my Esthetician hopefully business to come. I would love to work with cancer patients. 🥰 Thank you in advance and I do apologize for such a long message, I did reach out, but how do I go about getting information if any for people that can’t work and just really don’t have the funds besides raising it hopefully???

I'm so sorry to hear that you have suffered so much. It's true that conventional medicine is very limited in what it can offer for chronic conditions, or for addressing health at root levels. It does appear that you have a lot of inflammation on the systemic level, and I believe stem cell therapy can be very helpful for you. As far as the cost, we do offer financial assistance for people who have lower income. You can contact our clinic at 818-356-8232 or email info@chara-health.com. I had stem cell therapy in my shoulders about 2 months ago for a partially torn superspanitus that was causing pain and clicking/catching/pinching feeling in my shoulder. I feel much better and the pain is gone but the clicking and pinching is still there with certain movements and im wondering if this too will go away with rehab. Will stem cell therapy help fix this? Have you had experience with patients who had similiar clicking of the shoulder that went away with time?
@JoyKongMD
@JoyKongMD 3 месяца назад
It's difficult to answer that question without knowing the anatomy and imaging results of the joint area. Sometimes only surgery can correct certain defects, and other times gradually the tissue will repair, strength and regrow, resulting in resolution of symptoms... A consultation would be necessary to determine whether the problem would be long term requiring surgery or shorter term that can be fixed by treatments like stem cells...

If someone has autoimmune issues/brain fog/ how many million stem cells would you reccomend IV?
@JoyKongMD
@JoyKongMD 2 года назад
It really depends on the type of cells - the sources they are obtained from, is it from a person’s own body, or from umbilical cord blood, or umbilical cord tissue? Are they mostly MSCs or mononuclear cells? Have they been expanded (grown to large numbers) or native cells (never been expanded or manipulated). All these factors play a very important role on the dosage, as well as a persons body weight, age, and the severity of the autoimmune condition…

Is that 50% better feeling after an initial tx....a "honeymoon" effect, or will this wax and wane initially? I'm personally experiencing this.
@JoyKongMD
@JoyKongMD 4 месяца назад
There can be so many factors affecting how a patient does. Labeling it as "honeymoon effect" doesn't do the complexity of the human body justice... A person's nutrition, toxic exposure, underlying infections, hormone imbalances, or emotional stress etc. all play a part in how a patient does over time...
@jennifercarillio8403
@jennifercarillio8403 4 месяца назад
@JoyKongMD I appreciate your knowledge and input. Just waiting for more and more results. Over 480m MSCs....needed quite a bit because of my underlying autoimmune issues. Praying to keep moving forward, and we're all hoping that the IVs, intrathecal injections, various joint injections, ozone, hyperbaric, and cryotherapy will all continue to help me heal. In addition, we hope more practitioners, especially in the USA, will start to learn more about the amazing healing power in MSCs. A lot of clinics, like you've mentioned, will question the legalities of the type of stem cells that are being used. Yes, I agree ....this is NOT fetus tissues. People need to wake up in the USA. They really don't want this kind of amazing therapy because then big pharma would lose monies and orthopedics would lose as well. We enjoy your very informative videos! Thank you! We tried Regenexx years ago. Prp/bone derived stem cells will never work on such compromised bodies like my own and many others, especially past the age of 60yrs. Yes, senolytic cells are a real occurring process.
