Full video on @catalkies Should you buy a 3 star AC or 5 star AC? #money #finance #ytshorts #investing #shortsfeed #shortsindia #trending #airconditioner #buy #spendingmoney #savemoney #wealth
Small correction : 1 unit is 1000 watt hour or 1kWh A 1000 watt appliance will consume 1 unit of electricity, if it runs for 1 hour. 1 watt = 1 joule per second or J/s Hence 1000 watt = 1000 joules per second. 1 unit = 3600000 joules of energy ( here, electrical energy ).
Minimam 90 day to ac chalega aur wo v 24 hour me kam se kam 10 hour yani ki 3333 hour se 333 day aur par year 90 day matlab ki 3 se 4 year lagbhag .😊😊😊
Your calculation is misleading. You have compared the ACs on the basis of peak load i.e. no cut off or 16°c usage. Don't forget they are inverter ACs. A lot of variables are used when actual electricity consumption is calculated. For a 1.5 ton 5 start inverter AC, if we use the ac at 24°c for 10 hrs; the avg electricity consumption is around 0.4 units per hour. Whereas for the same scenario; 3, star ac would consume around 0.6 units per hour. Therefore at Rs 7/unit : 5star AC= 0.4*7= Rs2.8/hr 3star AC= 0.6*7= Rs4.2/hr Now for Rs8500 breakeven; 8500÷1.4= 253 days of AC running. This is a very practical calculation. Conclusion being as long as you are buying an inverter AC, isseer values doesn't make much of a sense, if you operate AC at temp ≥ 24°C for 10+hrs daily. Pro tip would be to buy higher tonnage. That would result in fast cooling.
My calculation is based on certain assumptions as is the case with every calculation based on usage just like the assumptions taken by you. Therefore, nothing about my calculation is misleading. You are free to make your own assumptions.
Assumption to chalo jo bhi hain lekin 8500/1.4=253 days? 24 hrs AC ON ?? Isse we can safely assume ki banda ya bande ka baap at least crorepati to hoga, to uske liye pura topic hi useless hain 😂
@@catalkies great job making this video but your calculation is surely misleading. If you assumed ac to run at full load all the time, you could have stated so. You used a very low end ISEER for 3 star i.e. 3.15. Most 3 star AC now have ISEER of 3.9 You also did not use the consumption written on label which is for 1600 hours of ac usage, based on that it would come to 0.259 unit difference per hour for usage conditions under which they test and find ISEER. Using this it will take 4688 hours. But with 3.9 ISEER 3 star AC it will take 8232 hours as unit consumption difference is 0.1475 per hour
This is highly misleading cause see in 3star the cooling capacity you have taken is 5000w and in 5star you have taken the cooling capacity as 4600w. So if the cooling capacity reduces automatically it consumes less power. You should take the same cooling for both 3star and 5star.
The actual cooling capacity mentioned on the BEE sticker of the air conditioners compared in the video has been taken. Therefore, the question of assuming the same cooling capacity does not arise as that would be hypothetical and not based on actual facts. Therefore the contents of this reel are not misleading . However, you are free to draw your assumptions regarding the parameters and base your calculations on the same. 👍🏼
@@catalkies Oh then I will come with 1000W cooling capacity AC under 1.5ton category and my power consumption would be 5times lesser than other ACs so my AC would be good right. Your video is definitely misleading
@@Maxe_well If you use daily go for 5star. If you use only in summer then go for 3star. Be it 3star or 5 star make sure that for 1.5ton AC the cooling capacity should be above 5000W
The sticker you are referring to is of Godrej whereas in the final comparison I’ve compared the 3 star and 5 star versions of LG air conditioners. The Godrej sticker has been used only to demonstrate the formula of power consumption.
3333 hours means 138 days and 21 hours If we use that AC for 12 hours per day we can cover that money in 277 days means 9 months So we have to buy an AC in mid February and you it until mid November to sustain the summer season of 9 months in north india
Can anyone answer, what type of manufacturing/parts difference are there for making different star rated ACs?? Which companents,or working makes rating variation? Pls explain?
Consider we are using ac on average of 5 hours per day. Total days to break even is 667 days (3333/5), which is 1.83 years. ACs have a minimum lifespan of 10 years(manufacturers are giving 10 years warranty compressor), total savings in cost will be Rs. 38,021/- ((10years- 1.83 years) x 365day a yera x5hr ×(Rs8.75-Rs6.20)).
The lifespan of a split AC at least in Delhi NCR is much shorter than 10 years. The indoor and outdoor cooling coils wear out pretty quickly due to environmental factors here.
Even that LG ac goes to 112-110 w with compressor running in 40% convertible mode, this is all wrong calculation since its not light bulb or fan that you can calculate on hour basis, the more the AC runs its power consumption decreases the first it may be 1200w but after 6 hour it will drop to 112w to 550w(based on technology) and these figure will change every minute, so the method of calculation is wrong
@@catalkies but in real life it will not run in 100% speed all the time as temprature dropes in room the speed of compressor decreases as result power consumption decreases and tgis happens every minute, may be in first 5 minutes the reading will be 1200W but it will go as down as 200-500w after 6-7 hours as the compressor will be very slow that time and will keep decreasing unless there is no leak in room or there in no direct heat source, such as direct sunlight with open or partial open windows etc
@@sudipnandi8237 I did, but you didn’t understand my reply. My point is, the sticker date is irrelevant in case you need to buy a new AC due to weather conditions.
Bro mera ac 1.5 ton ka electrolux 3 star wala he or ye electricity consumption karta he 1677 watt or isse 1 hour me 1.6 unit ho jati he koi idea dedo unit kmm karne ka 😢😢😢😢😢plzzz😔😞😟😟😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
You must be aware that pronunciations differ in English language. While some say ‘awar’ others say ‘hour’ which the R silent. I don’t understand why thats a big deal. Thanks anyway👍🏼
Cooling capacity bhi toh Kam he 5 star Wale model m....😂 Same cooling capacity me dekho.... difference jyada ka nhi he....normal usage k liye 3 star best he....commercial use k liye 5 star....
@@catalkies just watch your own video again........while calculating you used 5000 cooling capacity ac for 3 star and 4600 cooling capacity for 5 star......if you use 5000 cooling capacity on both ac you will get a little difference in electric consumption......
Well, 3333hrs / 24 hrs per day = 139 days. Now, if you plan to run your AC non stop for 24 hours per day for 139 days at a stretch, yes, 5 star will be better for you. Pls watch the full video where I’ve explained that your average AC usage per day would affect your choice of AC.
Minimam 90 day to ac chalega aur wo v 24 hour me kam se kam 10 hour yani ki 3333 hour se 333 day aur par year 90 day matlab ki 3 se 4 year lagbhag .😊😊😊
4 star is definitely a good option. But frankly, if you spend a little extra, 5 star would give you higher savings in the long run. That’s why you see people comparing 3star with 5 star ACs from a cost-benefit standpoint.
Lg 1.5 ton 3 star inverter AC chalane pe meter me kitna maximum demand indicator (MDI) reading aayegi?? 40% ya 60% ya 80% capacity pe chalane pe kya mdi reading kuch kam record hogi meter pe? Please help
@@catalkies my question is ki agar mai Lg 1.5 ton 3star inverter AC chalaunga 40% per raat bhar (6~7 hours) to maximum demand reading meter pe kitne Tak pahuchegi ? Can u please tell me the approx number
Jab Ac start karte ho to direct 3-5 unit itna bill khaa leta hai Fir jab wo continue chalta hai tab wo stable ho kr chalta hai Isliye ac ko On Off mat Kiya Karo Continue chalne do 8-10 hr Tab Consumption me aur efficiency dono me acchi rahegi

You reached the break even point of time, with certain assumptions. Let it be in 2 years or after 3 years. Then what about the calculations, after this time period is over? Whether both the ACs with different star ratings will give the same bill each month? Its definitely not as they have different power consumption systems. What you explained is a fool.
