Uniek is so sweet and patient with Rein and Teije!

I’m always surprised by how large horses are so gentle with little children. I think they recognise them as human babes. Even my own who was a rogue with retractable ears and teeth showing to anyone would be patient and kind and gentle with my own baby then toddler and be a completely different animal.

So, so adorable, all the children learning to respect the animals.

The boys are so much fun to watch! Uniek is very patient with them. She knows they are Yvonne's "foals," so of course she will be careful not to scare them or hurt them. She might wonder why the human youngsters take so long to grow up!😊

What an enjoyable visit to another stable. The children are very precious. Chatter chatter chatter. Rein is getting so tall! Teije is busy, busy..very serious brushing the horse, doing a good job. Goedzo boys!

Teije is so focused on his task! Very diligent. Rein clearly old enough to know more about what he's doing. They're both so adorable (also Uniek being patient. "Oh well, they're foals. Gotta let them do their thing.") ❤

My heart just melts when I see Uniek and how kind, gentle and trusting of Yvonne she is and therefore the boys. He face says what are they doing now but then she realises whats happening and just stands there letting Rein and Teije practice their grooming 😂

It's wonderful to see Rein and Teije learning to be around horses, fearless but wanting to know what they must not touch at the same time. Good to see Yvonne progressing really well and having fun with her boys and horses. Uneik is very patient and gentle, she understands.

Uniek is a mother, and understands that these boys are Yvonne's "foals" and she respects that. I love this horse, this channel and Yvonne and the whole team.

The depth and breadth of Yvonne's horse experience is simply astounding. She's been everywhere doing everything there is to do with horses. And still found time to do so many other things. Amazing.

Uniek is a wonderful horse for children to get used to. She is patient and gentle, and yes she trusts Yvonne to keep her safe. And they have learned that you don't go rushing around (the ponies have really helped there) and how to be careful around them.

This is the best way to learn! Teije and Rein are so sweet and careful. Teije won't remember this, but Rein might, and they'll be naturally good with animals. As for the Queen, she's once again amazingly patient, even when Teije snuck a brush onto her nose. I think Reintje enjoyed watching, and maybe even Saly did.... How fun seeing younger Yvonne's pictures doing horseback theater! Great costumes.... Loved seeing the stallions, they're so magnificent. And the little spotted pony, it is rather too bad he won't be a stud possibility for Glendy and Daisy.

Thank you for taking us to Drachten with you. It's nice to see the stallions, and 'Hallo, Namesake Mathilde'! Teije and Rein are going to be great helpers once they're a few years older, and a bit taller. Maybe Uniek or Reintje will be the first big horse they'll ride on! Patient/statue Uniek is always lovely to watch.

Uniek was so good with Rein and Teije!! Horses know when it is small children. I know. I remember sitting crosslegged. under the belly of a Clydesdale Stallion and brushing out his feathers when I was 3 years old. He never even twitched a fly off of him. I was with my grandfather visiting a friend of his. And when it was time to go, they could not find me. Until the farmer saw the door open to the stallions stall. He started to freak out!! Telling my grandfather to get me out of there because this horse was dangerous. My grandfather told him to calm down and look at the horse, then my grandfather calls me quietly and tells me it was time to go. I said, OK grandda!! I got out from under the stallion, went to his nose, gave him a kiss on the nose, walked to the door, and went out, and locked the door behind me. After I put the brush away, I asked the farmer if he had an apple that I could give to the horse, the farmer said, Chief isn't a nice horse Jennifer. I said back, Sir, Chief was a good boy for me. Can I have an apple to give to him please? So the farmer went and got the apple, but he was shaking his head as he went away. When he came back with the apple, I opened the door and called Chief over, I said, "Here Chief, I have an apple for you." You were such a good boy!! As Chief came over, he took the apple from me, never even touched my hand when he did, then the farmer came into view, and Chief pinned his ears and stomped his very big foot right in front of me. But I knew it wasn't at me. So I went out of the stall again, locked it up, and turned to the farmer, and in my 3 year old truthfulness told him, If you were nicer to Chief he wouldn't be so mad at you all the time Sir. Then I left with my grandfather, and the farmer had his mouth open like WOW!! But I was only saying the truth. The horse knew I wasn't a threat. They can read our intentions before we even get within 5 feet of them. So to see Queen Uniek with the two boys, and how quietly she stood, even when they were so gently brushing her legs, she knew they were not going to hurt her in any way at all.
