Back when I was 'toking' I came across the research on Omega-3s. Cannabis produces a large fraction ( I was gonna write 'high' but thought better of it...) of O-3s in the seeds. So I ate them, of course. However, I also took fish oil caps. Today, I am smarter, younger-looking, than all my same-age peers. Coincidence? Correlation? No. I was just smart enough, as a 20-something, to get inspired by the research, step up with my ca$h, and now I'm reaping the bennies. Be Like Me. Omega-3s are The Fountain of Youth.

@@ericcopenhaverI think you mean well, but dial it back brotha. You sound silly touting a personal, anecdotal experience as gospel. In fact, we could all be better being less like you - meaning, more humble. RE: O-3 supplementation.. do more research. It can carry negative side effects as well, and supplements are often rancid, resulting in harmful and oxidative results. People are better off reducing their O-6 intake and prioritizing fresh, heart-healthy, whole food consumption.

All of the things he mentioned, excluding ashwaghanda and creatine cause me to get negative symptoms. I get dizzy easily and many of these things increase anxiety and irritability for me. It could be correlated to blood sugar, as things like ginseng affect blood sugar. I dunno... just know it has a very clear affect on me that throws a whole day for quite a loop. Caffeine is also something I can do in moderation, but certainly not every day.

Creatine causes telegen effluvium (shock loss).Dht levels sore temporarily with creatine, and those who have hair follicles sensitive to dht may experience a temporary shed (me). After a few months of taking creatine daily, the hair will gradually regrow. You just gotta get through the dreaded shed for a few months.

@nocapproductions5471 Месяц назад
Caffeine at 600mg has been shown to be slightly anabolic in studies. However, it needs to be taken earleir in the day, because we are most anabolic during sleep and if you ruin your sleep you are not achieving anything. As for meth, its so much stronger that its not even comparable. I tried 600mg caffeine and I tried 100 mg meth. The meth gives you energy and euphoria for 6 hours even at 100mg, also tommorow you will be very tired so its not worth it.

I dont really take that many supplements or anything , Im just 16. But I do eat like a carnivore diet with little carbs and for supplements I just do 1000mg of Ashwagandha every morning and melatonin gummies before sleep. Thing is cant really afford anything other than that, A normal day costs me about 6 bucks for meals

Gummies are garbage! Do a bit of research. But, carnivore is great!

Keep it simple. Just don't pull a Joe Rogan and max out everything that you've heard before about supplements. Anything can become toxic if you get too much.

The top 3 should be: Whey Protein, Creatine, Omega-3. All other supplements got minimal impact. Multivitamine or specific vitamines (or minerals) can be also good in cases where someone has insufficient intake of them, due to either not well rounded diet or some illness. Other are just a waste of money because they have no or minimal impact on body.

Creatine definitely causes hair loss in those who are prone to hair loss. DHT is known to be the single biggest factor in genetic hair loss and creatine raises DHT, voila. Not that difficult to understand
@aaronlawrence6350
@aaronlawrence6350 Месяц назад
Sounds like you didn't understand what he was saying. ONE study found an increase in DHT, but no other study replicated that finding. And in that one singular study, they didn't explain how creatine could raise DHT. It doesn't raise testosterone, which converts to DHT. And they didn't find more of what DHT breaks down into. So if you don't increase the precursor to DHT, and you don't increase the successor to DHT, and creatine doesn't contain DHT itself, it doesn't make any sense to think creatine increases DHT. Not that hard to understand.
@antonfriberg881
@antonfriberg881 Месяц назад
@@aaronlawrence6350 Oh I do understand, I have spent countless time researching this topic as I really want to take creatine but can’t due to genetic hair loss. It is commonly thought that the testosterone-to-dht pipeline is the only way for DHT to be synthesized but this is actually not true. There is another way which is called The Backdoor Pathway in which DHT is formed from 21-carbon steroids using progesterone or hydroxyprogesterone to form DHT, thus bypassing the need to make testosterone. More Plates More Dates has done a video about this which anyone can watch. Furthermore, the other studies that you mentioned never looked into DHT as that was not the purpose of those studies, they only looked at testosterone. This means that the backdoor pathway is certainly as possibility here. Couple this with countless anecdotes (broscience I know) where there are sooooo many people who lose hair on creatine.

Creatine increases DHT in the body but not to supraphysiological levels. Basically stimulates DHT production to the maximum level your body is capable of producing on it's own, which is the argument for why creatine isn't doing anything diabolical. However there are thousands of anecdotes of hair loss caused by creatine in those prone to hair loss. It's real and there needs to be many more studies done on hair loss because I love what creatine does for my musculature but I need to keep all the hair I can. Say what you want but I've personally experienced this on a few occasions.
