That original version makes way more sense than the 70s one! As always, great content. Where did you find the multibubbler? All the ones I see on amazon have awful to mediocre reviews and elsewhere they seem to be very similar... Last but not least: double happy double birthday :))
Hey Kevin! Great episode once again.. we love your cocktails. Quick question! How long will these pearls last? & is there a way to store them? Kevin is da bomb, happy birthday!!
Thanks a lot! It's best if they are stored in the juice. In this case mixture of pomegranate and creme de cassis, but you have to use it in a couple of hours for the best result. Cheers!
Those pearls are SO cool, Kevin! They remind me of a drink they used to sell here in the US back in the 90's called "Orbitz." It was a bottled drink that had little balls floating around in it. I loved it back when I was kid. Such a fun video guys!
Happy birthday guys! This was definitively fun! I hope we get a dedicated episode for more uses of the orange super juice! 😁 it would be nice to have ideas on riffs on classics and improving cocktails that already use orange juice
Happy Birthday! I‘d love to see some videos regarding drink masters. What exactly is the difference between the method used in the video and the method shown in drink masters (agar agar for the Cavíar)? (Difference in Tast/Texture)?
"With that out of the way" Pushes it away and doesn't bother to taste it. Lol. Great work as always guys. I feel like pomegranate, tequila and orange juice have potential, just not in such an overly sweet drink. My thoughts? Daiquiri style - 2oz rum, 1oz citric acid boosted orange juice, 3/4oz grenadine. I'd go try it out now if it weren't 9:20am.
Kevin, great video once again - keep up the good work. I was wondering if you might have any books you'd recommend for creative mixology. I love the fact that you experiment with chemicals and other flavors not normally found in drinks and I was hoping you'd have a few books that might give me some of that knowledge. Thanks and keep it up!
Hi Kevin, first of all I absolutely love your videos and you are a huge inspiration to me😁. A small question, can I replace the sodium citrate with citric acid? If so, should I double the amount since citric acid has half the ph?
I wondered.. Is it possible to make sort of a super juice using something else than citrus ? Maybe like apples, berries ? Something that is either hard to get juice from or something from which the juice oxydizes quickly ? Thanks for those recipes, I used to drink the Modern Tequila Sunrise until I discovered the original recipe from 1930, now the latter is my favourite one ! (Maybe until I'll try your new recipe ! :P )
If you don't have the stuff to make the pearls, do you think a splash of pomegranate juice and creme de cassis with a few drops of rose water would be good?
Great video something i definitely want to try out. With that in mind how long will the pearls last? I generally make drinks for my friends at there house and they live a little distance away so need to plan out best way to order and time everything. (I am guessing that due to there consistency and water content they would freeze badly)
Pearls last a couple of hours if stored in the same liquid as it's inside the pearls. In this case, pomegranates and creme de cassis. In this case, you can make it in advance and use it when your friend arrives. Cheers!
Struggled with the boba. Used the same device but they came out looking like squashed fish rather than spheres (device also didn’t want to pull up the liquid). All said and done, my little dead fish didn’t seem to have much liquid in them. Advice?
