We used the Komoot App while hiking.
We uploaded the GPX tracks to Komoot and used this to help with navigation. The Komoot app also tracks us, and provides a lot of information such as distance covered, elevation gain and loss, there is also voice directions which you can turn on. Mine was called Bob…. (don’t know why!)

All of the tracks from the 23 day hike have been recorded on Komoot.

Nice video. Do wonder if there is plenty of water and places to eat on route from Fithiye to Kas? Going on this route in a few weeks.

I can't remember off the top of my head - but check out that route on Komoot- there is info re water and food - plus its a great resource to use while you are out there.- good luck! Have fun!!

Thanks for the wonderful videos, any thoughts on how much water to carry on average? Can really find data talking about water and how to much to carry... thanks in advance

Great questions - it does depend on your size - a 6'6 guy will drink more than a 5'6 woman. You also need to remember water is really heavy to carry - plus it depends on the time of year - summer you will need to carry a lot more. We did it in November/beginning of December so it was still really nice most days. I would carry 2 litre camel pack in my rucksack and my 700ml Waterwell bottle - so around 3 litres in total. Water in some places was easy to get - lots of taps in villages and you can always get water at the mosques. One of the things we did while using the komoot app was mark down the water sources and what they were like - there was generally more than we though there was going to be. Sarah Williams Thank you very much for the information, as a 5’8 guy I guys I’m in the same range as you. Haha honesty thanks for the feedback and I was doing this hike in April but due to COVID looks like I’ll arrange my plans and do this in November like you did. Best of luck in your next adventures, love all your videos... And yes I purchased Komoot app and upgraded to premium to check it out.

Sarah Williams Can’t wait, looking forward to it...I’ll most likely video the trek also and try to provide a gear list etc...like PCT/AT type of what works and what’s not needed..
