Hey Tall. I’m 6’5 with a 36” inseam as well. You mentioned someone told you to flip that highway peg the other way to stretch out more. You was giving some good advice that you probably should take heed to. I have a beautiful 2020 Road Glide. Big rims loud pipes, loud music. I have my pegs going forward and I still get compliments wherever I go. You give us a lot of great tips and advice. I’m gonna say to you, that you’re to old to be worrying about something looking silly when its gonna serve the purpose of you being comfortable. There’s no trade off for comfort in my opinion. Nobody would really care what direction your pegs are. Anyways I’m a fan of your channel. Thanks for all that you do. Stay safe.

I used to think Ape hangers were just for looks but improved my ability to make sharp u turns and manuevers on my Roadglide. My buddy has 14" inch spearhead apes on his street glide and it looks phenomenal. Perfect blend of stock/custom.

yeah man 14s are about perfect for us. I think tall apes will do ok on like my bar hopper but I hate them on a bagger it just looks awkward with the bars way about the fairing. Glad you found an option that works for you.

Another nice touch is floorboard extenders. I had some on my Road King that moved 1.5” out and 2” forward. They work on touring bikes without lower fairings. Ride safe!!

On the opposite side of the spectrum Being 5'5" I first put on a HD reach seat that moves me forward 1&1/2 inch, lowers me 1 inch and is 1 inch narrower Threw on a set of BMC Vindikta hoope teeze bars that are only 31 inches wide compared to most that are 36-37 inches wide. and an extended brake pedal (the option of with lowers is the same length as stock but sits 20 degrees flatter) easier for my smaller size 8 feet to maneuver onto. I also put on highway pegs just to give me many more foot positions......I would love to see our bikes side by side,

I'm 6'2 and I also went with a Lapera DDL Maverick seat, 12 in bars, extended floorboards, extended shifters, extended brake lever, and highway pegs. I have ridden my SGS across the country 2X. Over 6K miles on each trip, comfort all day long. Thanks, great video.

Thanks for the video, I am a 6'2'' rider on a Road King and your tips helped. In addition to the Daddy Long Legs seat, you might also try the kit to move the floor-boards forward one inch. If you do, then you will also need to add an extended brake pedal (Kuryakyn makes one), and possibly an extended shift lever. That one inch makes quite a difference.

I’m 6-02 with a 34 inch inseam. I have 2017 RG Spl and put KST 10” meat hooks on for bars, a 2018 CVO seat which moved me back off the tank about a inch. I also have floorboard relocation mounts which move the boards out and down about a half inch, and highway pegs. I’ve been riding for 29 years and after a lot of trial and error this is the most comfortable I have ever been on a bike. Thanks for all of the videos and your positive attitude. Be safe.

Great Videos, Tall. I'm 6' but long legged. These are the mods that made my ride perfect. Mustang seat FLHR/X/T/TR SUP TRVNTDBR (crazy part number) that pushed me back about 1.5 inches and up a little. Khrome Works 14" bars with 2" pull back, Legend Revo-A 13" shocks and HD highway pegs. Rode from southern Cal. to Sturgis and back in great comfort.

nice! I am also 6'5". Its a short, fat, world for sure. Ive been riding for multiple decades almost exclusively on european bikes. The Adventure bikes easily come the closest to out of the box fit. A 2" riser under the bars (over stock), 1" lower on the pegs (most you can get, really) and a custom seat (rich's usually) and Im there. Spent a month this last summer roaming the southwest on and off road. Standing and sitting. The last day was 700 miles to get to home. I just picked up an old Electra Glide. I was really surprised how small it is. The gent I bought it from was considerably shorter than I and even had a "reacher" seat on it. I rode it home feeling like I was in "Elf". Because of the ergonomics of a cruiser, placing all your weight on your tailbone, the seat is probably the most vital part for any rider. My ride came with the stock seat as well, so I am at least off the reacher. But yeah, that stock wont survive a long run. Single density foam and pretty soft at that. Im going to work with the local shop to complete the Police air ride seat set up on it. That is probably the best solution for me. Im not sure about bars. I really dont care for apes or tall bars. I'll run it a while and see what I will do. Good to see someone talking about stuff for us fully grown adults. PS - whats up with those mirrors? that looks nice!

I'm also 6'5" and the only V-twin bagger made for anyone tall is the Victory Cross Country. I have a Tour and would never get rid of it...but I am having to. The parts issue is a thing. They are out there but people are charging 4-5 times what they are worth. Selling the bike as I type this and will be moving to a Road Glide. It would be great if Harley would make a bike for taller people...bigger boards, longer reach, longer tank, neck further away...etc.

Saturday I bought a 2020 SGS. It’s sitting in the service department awaiting the stage 4 kit. That night I came home and ordered TAB 4.5’s with Zombie baffles, Rockford Fosgate stage 3, and KST Bison bars. Once I get it home, I will go for a ride to Compton for a Saddleman get seat and get the Legend suspension ordered. Loud and comfortable 😎🤘🏼

I have the Suzuki M109R and ever since I got my bike I made changes as well. I went jell seat early on and the last ting I did was to extend the handle bar with a riser. It's true that with every change you will have to relearn the bike again. My learning started with weight loss because as I got smaller I fit different on the bike. And the risers were added after a spine surgery and I sit in a more relaxed position as my bike is a sport cruiser and there is a slight lean forward to the bike when you first buy them. So this bike is totally fitted or my body. and yes I have highway pegs as well.

Hey Tall , I had to modify my bike for my height. I have a tall boy seat that sits me farther back and lower which helps with legs and center of balance. Then I bought a set of Kuryakan floorboard extenders that move them one inch forward and one inch out ( you have to make sure you get the right ones because there are a lot that only go forward but not both, you need both) . Then I ordered an extended reach rear brake pedal from Kuryakan also, it helps with foot room. Now I can either use the floorboards, or I can put my heel on the front of the floorboard and my toe on the highway peg, or lay my leg over the highway peg. It just gives you options while riding. I am going to get the taller bars, but I also have a backrest and the combination makes a big difference on long trips.

Bars and seat are always the first mods you have to do to pretty much any Harley, their stock bars and seats are just awful in my opinion. When I had my stock bars and seat I could only ride about 50mi without having to pull over and stretch it when I put the seat, bars and forward controls on my Street Bob I can easily ride until the tank goes empty. I’m currently looking to get into either a Street Glide or Road Glide and after demoing both bikes I know the seat and bars MUST go. Also I think I’d extend the brake out about 1.5-2” as well as the shifter. I’m 6’2” so I have some of the same issues as you at 6’5” but I couldn’t imagine riding the stock Street Glide being as tall as you are. Love the bike brother, and I can wait until you get that engine back into the bike, I’m excited to see it and I’m excited to see how hyped you are when you first ride the new modded engine! Stay safe! 🤘🏼😎🤘🏼

The stock seat leaves a lot to be desired so I put a Corbin solo tour seat on and have the KST 12 inch bars rolled back also , and have my highway pegs as low as possible so our setup is close to the same but I am only 6 foot tall and am very comfortable , and I use a 8 inch LRS shield , 2019 CVO Street Glide with the stock 117 engine it’s a great ride

Have you ever thought of going with a custom stretched bike? I had a 2021 RG with the 124 and it has the 21" fat tire on the front and the front is licked out a bit with triple trees. A 21 inch fat tire is the same as a 23 inch skinny wheel set in diameter. 23" if same as a 26" so you have to kick the frame out with rake and new triple trees. Anyhow my RG is stretched a bit and has stretched bags. It just overall makes the bike look like more of a fit. And man fat tire bikes ride better than anything I have had in the past. My 2010 RG has the 30 inch big wheel. That is REALLY stretched. I think it is about 2 feet longer than a stock Harley.
