Seeing your videos now hurts a little. I've commented before about getting my toy aussie, how it was difficult but we were getting the hang of it. We did, and it was great. He was perfect, absolutely gorgeous, and truly my baby. We lost him 5-27-21 at 2am to causes we still don't know, it was sudden and fast. We just knew he couldn't breathe and one lung was hollow while the other seriously diseased. He was fine that day, even went to the vet for something else and I had her check him. Clear lungs, no fever. Er vet doesn't know, our vet doesn't know, words thrown around like 'freak case' and 'severe and sudden.' Even possibly a birth defect. We've just been told it wasn't our fault, but god, it doesn't bring him back. He was so sweet, happy, playful, innocent. I wanted to show him everything like mountains and lakes and forests, but he just went down.. so fast, so hard. He was only 5 months old. I've always loved your videos and you're the one who inspired me to get an aussie, albeit the smallest package, but I think I might sit some videos out. I'll always leave a like though. I just need to get a handle on my grief.

1. Continue to train with your dog so he or she stays sharp on her commands. 2. Remember that your dog lives to spend time with you! 3. Do new things together to foster your bond with your dog. We wash our dog bowls every time they eat, I wouldn't want to eat off of a dirty plate. Loved the video!

People really need to groom their dogs more! My girl gets a monthly groom. She hates grooming, but I always do it because the longer she goes without it, the worse it gets

What is it that you put in frankie's food?

My best advice I’d give an Aussie owner or anyone getting a puppy, is if you live in a colder climate. Get your puppy in the spring or summer and socialize, socialize, socialize. My niece, bought my Aussie in the fall and barely socialized him, then couldn’t handle his behavior and dumped him on me and never came back to get him, which unless she reimbursed me for all the vet bills and. Yeah, no she’s not getting him back. We are working on his behavior problems, he’s a very loving boy, unless I leave him home then he gets mad and tells me off, he’s very good with other dogs but not with human strangers. Love my, Mr. wiggle butt.

One time it was POURING rain outside. So my dog and I went outside and ran around for a bit (she was having a blast). A few moments later, my grandmother pitched the idea of soaping her up and rinsing her off. We did just that! A little way to take advantage of mother nature amirite!

My dog never bites her treats on my hand she goes slow and carefully grabs her treats out of my fingers. But tug of war is a different story

My Aussie of 16 years tore her CCLs when she was around 5 or 6yrs old in both back legs. Very athletic dog, could clear a fence without touching it. When this happened, she had casts on both legs for awhile. Because of the time I spent with her recovering, using a towel around her waist to help her walk to go to potty etc, she bonded even more with me. For the next 10 years (fully healed after surgery) she waited for me for 8hrs a day, 5 days a week while at work. It didn't matter if anyone else was home. Nothing got better about her separation anxiety. She would whine all day, until I came home, and would never leave my side once I did. Looking back I'm still glad it happened in a weird way. Because I felt the same about her. Best dog i ever had. Miss her badly. Dogs do not live long enough, it's the worst part about having them. Just my opinion but with all the time you've spent with your dog i doubt leaving him will get him used to it, but maybe I'm wrong. Love your vids, and your a great dog owner, and your Aussie will love you til the end.

Take care of your pets teeth! If your dogs breath stinks, there is a problem! Bacteria is growing, and where bacteria is growing there is tooth decay... tooth decay will lead to tooth loss. All your points are straight up spot on, but I think people forget about taking care of their dogs teeth. I know my family was like... umm how do you get her to LET you brush her teeth... lol, she just loves it! I brush my teeth in the morning, she stands up and lets me know she is ready for hers to be done too :D Yes, I'm a bad person, hehe, I let her put her paws on my counter top :P She's just too damn cute wanting to get her teeth brushed like me!

You've mentioned Frankie throwing up and having sensitive stomach issues. Do you give him oral flea and tick meds? I've been researching them prior to getting my new puppy, and one in particular, ( but they're all the same family of drugs from what I understand), Bravecta, can cause vomiting and disrupt digestion. It also causes some horrific seizures in some dogs and even paralyzation. It's just a possibility. The topicals are safer but can still cause serious side effects, one of which is change in temperament. These drugs and foods and shots they recommend for our pets are actually potentially extremely extremely harmful.

Living in the often wet northwest of England, i am in the shower with my lovely springer spaniel at least once a day, most of the time twice. I wash his dishes every day. As for leaving him: i do if i have to but i am not sure who has the greater separation anxiety!😂😂😂😂. Having a dog is the most wonderful gift!!!💜💜💜💜

My Aussie was home all day since my siblings and I were in school and my parents worked. He just hung out in the yard. No fences so when my parents moved and got a fenced in yard he was more stressed because he didn’t have the ability to run around freely. Now he is running in puppy heaven Glad Frankie and Joey are happy and healthy. Much love for this channel ❤️

Great videos....we have a 2yr old red Tri Aussi, she's an awesome girl but still needs training.. Dude, my best friend past away in 2000, he was 29 years old and I was 40 .... you could easily past for his twin brother, not only with looks, but also in actions ,and smiles and laughs.... unbelievable.....so I enjoy your channel. You remind me of him so much.

I'd love a video on if you check for ticks, how you do it and how often. For example, do you check after every visit to Bruce Pit? Your backyard? The hole tick thing is scary and a little overwhelming.

I agree with #2 ! Even though we have been working from home for pretty much a year and a half, we trained our pup to stay alone in the living room while we are working. 😊

May I ask how you balance taking care of puppy Frankie with work/school and prior commitments? I'm getting my puppy on the 23rd of June and having to worry about work, college, and eventually softball once practice starts up (I'm going to my community college though so I'm still in the house). I'll also be the primary caretaker.

Thank you for the creativity and sincerity you put into your videos. I have a female Red Merle mini Aussie who will turn 1 on June 1st. and I learn something new every time that helps me with my dog questions.

1) Rewards are fine, food rewards can be counterproductive. One of the great blessings of owning working dogs is not having to rely on food rewards. 2) You won't regret spending a single extra minute with your dog when he's gone. You will definitely regret playing separation-anxiety games.

Um ok, I was scrolling thru Tiktok and found yours and am absolutely mind BLOWN because I only know you from Frankie and watching this channel 😂 I’ve heard your music but would never in a million years connect you and frankie and this is the most mind blowing find of the year (basically I didn’t realize you were you and I can’t process that haha)
