Your assessment of the radio is spot on to the extent of the things about it you mention. You’re being kind though because there are lots of other deficiencies/defects in that 2018 hunk of junk that is so bad I can actually see the engineers that put that thing together drawing the technology for it with a damm crayon. I have seen more sophisticated technology in HMI’s that were put out by machine manufacturers 40 years ago. That radio should be a red faced embarrassment moment for the MOCO. I love the wheels though and as far as blaming MOCO for what aftermarket people don’t design is a little rough. The view from the rear…? I guess screw them if the people back there don’t like it. I like having that little light skirt back there; my ‘10 had the same thing and I guess I got used to it, my ‘18. does have a Rinehart exhaust back there giving it a lower balance look and my ‘10 had a Vance & Hines ProPipe on the right side, so maybe that is why I don’t feel the same about that as you do. They really do look different without pipes under those bags. To me, other than that POS head unit and those CRAPPY stock speakers, I pretty much don’t know what there is not to love about this bike. I have some cams in there and a stage whatever kit in it and it’s sleek, fast and can be very aggressive when I need it. It will run up to 100-120 like my little Audi can and I pretty much feel almost stoned every time I ride that rascally pup. Other than the CRAPPY sound system I am still stupid happy with this thing. Someday I will upgrade to a Soundstream head to go with the speakers I had to put in within a week of buying it; those stock speakers were nothing but a child’s toy. Then it will be perfect.

My 2020 RGS radio does the same thing. Gotta set it to the phone each time you turn it on. Sux

I have the Arlen Ness 14” Jagged rotor Big Brake kit looks really nice on my 21” Spoke mount Enforcer

If you want to change out the radio then check out fat head cycles. They have sony plug and play kits

Research counter steering

From factory on my 2008 FXDF Fat Bob...🤔🤔 the exhaust...for being a thick Bike doesn’t sound like it, the dual head light just one high beam and the other low....lack of ilumination on the road, and last too much chrome for my taste.....

How did you black out your front end? I started on giving my standard the special treatment but that's the one area I haven't been able to find a suitable way of getting it all black
