I bought a 2001 dyna fxdx 2 years ago, and ive got $25k into it not including the cost of the bike. I have zero self control. S&S 124, inverted front end, trac dynamics swingarm, and everything else thats possible. Now im looking at a road glide. Shits gettin real bad lol.
I was so glad I picked up a Harley never checked everything on the bike because I said it’s a Harley I had to put a stater in the air for new tire but I didn’t check out a new battery but it was running when I got it but I didn’t pay no mind to the small things that Precio aspirin amount of money on it even a brand new seat but guess what I did the work myself I looked on RU-vid and did the work myself I was so scared when I opened up the engine and took everything out but I took my time we got back together now I’m good to go would you hit it right on the head😊
If you buy a new Harley when you're done making your deal tell them they have to throw in a helmet that you've picked out I've bought 8 Harley's and I have a helmet for everyone I've bought

I like my lowers too I only bought them to add more speakers, but I fell in love with look it gave the bike shoulders. What do you like about yours? Also, I did OEM Harley CVO lo profile mirrors they’re the best imo
So so right on you nailed it bro! I’ve been there especially with the windshield. What May look kool in a catalog doesn’t always fit the theme of your bike. I wish Harley had more options when you go to buy a bike . They give you a bunch of mediocre parts that end up as dust collectors. Better off with a used bike that has most of what you want and save some dolleros. Nice Road Glide btw.
What puzzles me is the road glide people like yourself that loves the lowers and puts on the tour pack. Why not just buy the Road Glide Limited. All that comes with it for a better price point plus you get the liquid cooled heads. First time viewer nice video
Thanks for watching. I would not have saved much because I would’ve still changed everything on the bike except for the parts you named which is why I purchased a standard. The lowers and tour pack cost me under $500 combined.
I literally just put up a post flaming Harleys... lol. I have been riding about 25 years. I have had many new and used bikes and the ONLY ones that ever gave me problems were the Harleys BY FAR! I currently ride a 2018 VMax I bought new. I also have a 2019 Fat Boy 114 I bought used (with 246 miles on it). I havent had ONE issue with the VMax and the Harley I could write a book. NO motorcycle is perfect, but Harley is overpriced and antiquated. MANY parts on new Harleys have to be replaced because they are absolute garbage (seats, suspension, radios, etc...) Plus, Harley charges a premium for all their parts. By a Harley to piss money away and everything else to ride.
I agree 100% Harley parts are trash. But I love the idea of customizing my bike anyway. I owned many different bikes like you an dhad no issues either. But I love my Haley.

I was going to buy the smaller touring pack too until I found out they're ONLY $1750 here in Omahaaaaaaaaa... No, no, NOOOO... I found a friend who had the big touring pack WITH the LED's. He said to give him $600 and he'd even wire it up for free. Enough said. Lolololololololol.....

I knew exactly what I wanted my bike to look like. But then I realized that I changed my mind. I also didn’t buy crap, I purchased what I loved at the moment. But it each his own. I ain’t complaining. 💪🏽💯
I always waste money on the quick detachable tour pack kit. I’ve done so for every bagger I’ve owned. Such a waste of money because I never take my tour packs off.
My 20-year-old Goldwing is so much better in quality compared to my 2023 $50000 Harley. My Harley is in the shop because the front fork are out of alignment and the dealers don't know how to fix it and they are asking me about my after-market grips.. Harley will also try to void your warranty for add-ons that you install. I need to wait 2 years before I can install my Cobra front pipes.
lol when you own a victory with more power and better transmission for like a third….. you’ll have a lot of money for all the customizations you desire.
Brother I feel when you say forget cool accessories for your metric cruzer, I have Kawasaki nomad 1600 and so far I been able to get some Harley parts that fit but dam it's a work, but I love the bike

@@ridefitnation respect. But check this out too. Most HD’s cost as much as a BMW k1600 bagger and then they dumpy 20-30 more grand on “Making it their own” parts and upgrades. Then the bike breaks down. That’s a trick to get all of your cash in the long run. It’s all a gimmick. And then they get free advertising by people trying to make a brand from these types of videos. I 68 and ride everyday that the weather is good. About 10-12K per year or more. I quit spending money on chrome a long time ago. I put some slip on screaming eagle pipes that were used for $100. Other than that I just ride it.
The handlebars can stay on the bike when selling, the process of taking the wires out of the connector, fishing the wires in the bars and getting them back into the correct place and reconnecting is very tedious.
Maybe I can get some feedback from group. One of these days I plan to buy a Harley. Main reason being customization. I have a really nice Suzuki M109 and its been modded. But its hard to keep going. From a Harley perspective, i want comparable seat of pants to my M109 (it will do an honest 135plus with my 275# butt on it)...which is pretty fast for a big heavy cruiser. If I go 103/110 twin cam or Milwaukee, what stages will give me a comparable feel?
Not quite sure what you mean in some parts but you can get a big bore kit with either 124 or 138. But that all depends on which bike you end up getting.

I put lowers and a king tourpak with the small backrest on my bike as well and they ain't never coming off LOL! I had a chopped pak on my last bike they suck. You can't put much in them including a full face helmet. People think the razors and chopped look better. It's a box on the back of your bike!! You might as well make it as useful as possible. I tell all new riders to ride for a while before making any changes. You may think you want 1 thing but a month later you realize you want something else

Like no other bike out there? you mean a black Road Glide? I have an Indian...I don't HAVE to upgrade anything...it's superior bagger out the gate. You have a nice bike anyway....I almost bought the same bike...I would be right were you are (were) but sometimes you have to change things to make it your own.

If you can’t afford an adult toy then don’t over extend yourself. People do that with so many things and then want to shoot the repo man lol. People’s priorities are messed up.
That’s the problem with Harley helmets. When you buy them from the Harley shop, they all make your head look gigantic because of the stupid DOT rules. always buy aftermarket helmets never from the Harley dealers.💯 great video by the way, because I work for Harley and when you buy your bike, they take you to the parts counter and try to talk you into doing all kind of shit and spending more money. I know how it works.
friend of mine beans riding a hard for 15 years. he spends a lot of money. he sold the motorcycle, he brow a BMW. more cheap. and he told me that is 100 % better ride. he spends money on the Harley and never feel the sensation of a BMW motorcycle, I think the BMW is a cruise motorcycle
The BMW bike are nice. But it will never beat the community that HD has. That’s what most of us love. We all know that Haley’s sent the best bikes, but the support from our community is priceless
