I never really comment on RU-vid videos, but I wanted to express my gratitude before your channel grows so much that it would get lost in a sea of comments. Thank you for making videos, Damon. You’re thoughtful, intuitive and offer a unique perspective that resonates so much with me, I feel like I’m listening to a friend I’ve known for a long time. The way you speak is very intentional and patient without sounding scripted, it's really refreshing. You radiate this coolness and an authenticity that’s rare to see these days. It’s easy to see how much you care about your message, and I have no doubt your subscribers will continue to grow exponentially. Keep it up man! Glad I found your channel. Hope you’re recovering (mentally and physically) from your pulmonary embolism scare. Take it easy and keep shining. Sending love and good vibes from the UK :) xx

Hi there Damon My daughter passed away last year unexpectedly and the shock was enormous and unbelievable and heartbreaking for me and the family etc she learned a valuable lesson , she valued experiences over things, she had a good full life, and i wish i had learned that earlier in my life. This is a lovely channel and what i got from you was how approachable you are, most people do not want more money, they want to be heard and i bet they will come to you in droves because you are that kind of guy who just simply listens, thats a rare gift, they just want to be heard. i hope this blesses you God bless

It's beyond enjoyment, I'm in tears. Your thoughts are from the heart to the heart. 10 years later I was doing my Ph. D and about to graduate but due to horrible instability back home, I lost 7 members of my family and friends and cann't finish by all means. It took me years to overcome the trauma. I finished my degree while under so many medications for depression, anxiety, pts, weight gain, and the list goes on. My psychotherapist at that time told me I need to embrace "self compassion, gratitude, and give myself all deserved grace and love so I can heal. Her therapy sessions changed my life, so I got every word you said about the nurses, and all the people who help and make us feel how valuable and loved we are. I decided to go for another degree but in psychology, and I've been helping other people and myself as well. The healing journey can't be what it meant to be without sharing, caring, and reflecting. Don't forget to mention how some people reacted about me going back for a degree instead of securing myself a "well paid job/pension" :) it's as what you mentioned: there are so many things that are priceless and give us a huge boost of self love and fulfillment. @@DamonCassidy

This is so relatable, especially the first 3 minutes, everything you said sounds exactly like me haha, "I think so" that's what I say on a daily basis especially when I go out to public places. I get frustrated to "fit in" to not hurt someone's feelings or to not reveal too much information about myself, because I too often think that I would have to carry the conversation and everyone would realize that I don't know what I m talking about, also most of the time when I do make good first impression on people, most people eventually forget about my existence, quite literary. I think it's a common experience among INFJ'sc haha the "INFJ fade"
@DamonCassidy
@DamonCassidy 7 месяцев назад
I really relate to that portion about if I kept talking people would see behind the illusionary facade. Or if I act a little different people will just forget about me. Really well said. I feel the infj do a really good job imprisoning themselves in their own minds haha
@HouseofCaesar
@HouseofCaesar 7 месяцев назад
@@DamonCassidy That's true, I watched a lot of content surrounding the NFJ personality type personality mainly watching Frank James's channel. He once made a video about how INFJs have a tendency to be very spend most time during the day, daydreaming, which results to a degree being very passionate and almost visionary to some extent. The problem is a lot of people just understand what you are trying to say, hence they just ignore you, also INFJs tend to be good first impressions, completing people etc, which after some time people just tend to forget and move on. I can add way more information to this argument but I feel like I m not an expert in this topic plus I don't want to write some type of an essay under a comment haha

"We need to give ourselves grace" I agree, but I have a little different view on grace. We need to understand that we need to love ourselves but we need to love others who haven't received grace even more, by doing that we also receive grace, not by being prideful but through humility. Grace will be granted to us, grace is not generated by us rather it is created by God
@DamonCassidy

Wow, yes I agree. I really like this perspective!! Thank you for sharing this!

The video thumbnails confuse me sometimes because I can't remember if I've seen that particular one before. I feel like the images are just too similiar. Just wanted to provide some feedback.
@DamonCassidy
@DamonCassidy 7 месяцев назад
I’m very glad you said this. My friend (who also creates videos) and I have a lot of conversations about thumbnails mostly on this exact thing. If I may I would like to ask a couple questions just to help me get an even better understanding because I agree with you but statistically the thumbnails do well which I don’t understand. 1) If I changed how I looked in the thumbnail or switched what side the mug and Starbucks cup to a different side would that be a big enough difference? 2) I’m curious what made you end up clicking the video, did you have to check to see if you had seen this or not or did you click on it to see if the intro was similar. 3) I personally believe my thumbnails do not prepare the viewer for the more in depth nature of my videos, do you also feel that way or do you think it’s fine just repetitive. Thank you again for reaching out and I apologize for them being confusing! I hope all is well!🤍
@songlore4617
@songlore4617 7 месяцев назад
I didn't realize at first that the thumbnail image was similiar. I just thought youtube kept recommending me the same video again. My eyes just glance over any thumbnail for a few seconds so all I really notice is your face and then if I pause long enough, I notice your hands. I'm going back through your video thumbnails and only now realizing there were different headshots. This particular video I clicked on because I wanted to leave my comment. From the videos I've seen of yours, the thumbnails don't really match the content (at least according to my autistic mind). I guess the thumbnails make me think it's going to be a very casual, mostly fluff video. I liked the thumbnails for your please top living a life you hate, the unfortunate truth about chasing your dreams, and how to live a simple life in a distracted world (intentional living). Ah and your what I learned after quiting my job with the big freedom on top and the one about embrassing creativity. Maybe the former because of the large text. It's hard coming up with thumbnails that have high clickthrough rates. There's also less real estate on the home page for video recommendations since the introduction of youtube shorts. I think you're doing a great job! @@DamonCassidy
