Some things suck all the energy and confidence out of you in your corporate career. Confidence is a product of always working on yourself and progressing in your career journey. We often think that we are very confident and the confidence will never go away. But the reality is that your confidence can be broken silently over a period of time by these 3 things. In this video I shared 3 things that SILENTLY Kill Your Confidence in the #Corporate World & Solutions to Stay Confident Always.
The first thing that breaks your confidence silently is the judgment from society. When I left my corporate job and started in the entrepreneurial journey, I knew that some things may not go well for me as far as the societal expectations were concerned. Confidence motivation was always low because of the kind of things I had to listen to after I started making RU-vid videos. But I made a point to stick through and do what was necessary to keep making videos. Facing criticism at multiple occasions from my family members was also a bit demotivating.
I knew that there was no way I could just leave this entrepreneurial journey. But listening to people around you who are not well-versed with the corporate world and don’t even know what you do at you day to day job or what you are planning to do in the future can take a toll on your mental health and confidence. You can feel underconfident because of this and this underconfidence can lead to bad decisions as well as a lot of trouble for you. If you are wondering how to be confident or how to increase confidence then the first step would be to stop listening to people who have only criticism for you which is not constructive or helpful in any way.
The next thing that silently kills your confidence is comparison. You need to understand that there will always be people ahead of you. You can never be ahead of someone who has put in more time than you or had better mentors than you. You need to stand back and think that whatever timeline you had earlier decided for your career goal is going to get stretched. If you thought it would take 2 years then you will be surprised to know that it may actually take 4 years for you to do what you planned to do in just 2 years.
Always keep this in mind and stop comparing yourself to others. Comparison is detrimental to self confidence in interview or generally confidence in your career. If you want to know how to be confident presentation or bring more confidence in job then you should first of all stop comparing yourself to others who are ahead of you. The next thing that drains your confidence is going to be not making any money. You will be facing a lot of challenges in life if you don’t make money or build wealth. When you are going through that time when you are not building wealth or making any money, you will definitely feel very underconfident. So, to boost confidence and get to a better place in life you need to prioritize building wealth.
