Dude…had a bunch of metal roofing sealant tape/rope/putty bunch of 1/4” bits filled with metal shavings…worked like nobody’s business!!!…used a hex head screw to press it in with so it got completely into all corners…so awesome!!! Thanks for the insight!!!

Nice tips! I’ve always used mastic tape, it wasn’t perfect but it did the job.

Good ideas. I usually use compressed air or dig out with 1/8" screwdriver.

Have you tried your Milwaukee tire inflator to see if it has enough air pressure to blow it out
@HVACToolReview
@HVACToolReview 4 года назад
With something like this it probably could amzn.to/3a19uTU Unfortunately the inflator does not have any type of storage tank, so it can’t blow anything out, it’s meant for filling/inflating only, but it is rated to 120 psi. You could most likely fill the portable tank above in order to blow stuff out.

I use painters, electrical, or duct tape sometimes. It doesn't get it all but doesn't really need to. Plenty of fresh surface on the tape to jam in and remove shards to your heart's content. Probably not as good as a silicon caulk, but that is a waste of a tube so it's best to use the rest of a caulk tube on your magnetic bits when you're done with a caulking job.

I just chew gum and at some point put it into the bit, then it is clean and smells minty fresh.

Spray a little WD40 in your clean drivers then when they get filled with shavings use silicone or chewing gum. Or if you can find them, buy the driver tips you can push the magnet out enough to wipe clean.

And if you dont have any of these, just use the water hose w a pressure handle on it, it works perfect too, just dry and add a shot of WD-40, clean and rust proof.... done.....peace...

Precision screwdriver and the bottom of shirt will get you by. Not as good but if you're above the ceiling it'll get'er done. Your ways are better though

Yep definitely done that! Haha just always drove me nuts I could never get it all out. Would spend way to much time chasing a few bits around the magnet 😂

DON’T use hot glue!! I used hot glue and it pulled out the magnet and I was unable to reinstall the magnet!!!

Tried that…did nothing…but I’m with you…thought it would be great🤷🏻‍♂️… 350 pound magnet not good enough… Maybe a 3500 pound one?
@jackkramer7258
@jackkramer7258 2 года назад
@@stevekopesky9751 sorry my mistake. Doesnt need to be bigger. It needs to have a higher iron density than the magnet in the nut driver.
