@@luxirk I can't say no to what u said but growing those nails only happens naturally unless u want to put acrylics or fake nails....but looking on the bright side at least it makes them strong to have less percentage to break off. But thanks for ur advice I appreciate it 😄

@@hariniharish2010 i’m a cosmetologist, you can’t just grow strong nails over night, it can take up to 6 months even a year or so to see results and growing natural nails can take up to 3 years! so if you’re really keen on doing it just get a gel overlay.

@@hariniharish2010 if you’re someone that can’t grow long nails cause they’re week get a gel overlay, or you can do it yourself with poly gel from amazon and just do a thin layer, it won’t harm the nail it’ll just add extra protection.

I wouldn’t recommend nail strengtheners unless it’s absolutely necessary and still, do not use it for a very long time because it’ll make your nails so hard they will tend to break more easily. Use jojoba or Castor oil on the cuticles instead and make sure you’re protecting your nails while doing things with your hands so that your nails don’t break and grow longer

That’s a nail hardener. Nail strengtheners are different and nourish the nail gradually, not an immediate effect

@@louislouislouis28 they're technically the same Hardness = Strength in this topic But Strength ≠ Nails safer from breaking When you have strong nails its easier to break them because they cant bend If your nails can bend, that's okay its supposed to be that way,but they cant bend too much. So you should keep it in the middle with half the Strength and half bendable Just watch Simply Nailogical,she explained it perfectly in "How to grow your nails effectively" or smth similar

@@kao_0 yes but nail strengthener and nail hardener are two different products with different ingredients. Nail hardener can make your nails brittle if used for an extended period of time, but nail strengthener will not

I recommend using oils! Never hardeners, those will only make your nails worse! Also most of the nail strengtheners has hardening ingredients, besides that those usually have oils and biotin (or some other hair and nail supplement ingredients). Biotin is something that should be eaten as supplement, it really does not make any difference on top of your nails. So those strengtheners are mostly just useless, glorified nail oil basically. You should rather just use oils on your nails and take biotin as supplement. People don't waste your money to any strengtheners and hardereners!

If you have hard/ brittle nails then nail strengthener will make it more brittle and they will break easier. Use nail oil if you have hard nails and use strengthers/ clear polish if you have soft nails

*NEVER* (unless you have really, really thin nails) use nail hardener/strengthener. You want your nails to be as flexible and resilient as possible. That way when you hit your nails on something they bend and NOT crack. After many chipped nails i realised that it’s better to have nails that flex, not just break.( this applies specially for longer nails )

one of my faves is the OPI natural nail strengthener! btw, the two common causes for nail breakage are; - nails that are too thin and brittle (could be from genetics, damage from over buffing the nail plate, etc), to solve this use a nail hardener - nails that are too hard(when the nails are too hard they snap easier under pressure), to solve this use more cuticle oil (jojoba oil is great) to soften the nail so it can flex under pressure instead of breaking so basically only use nail hardener/strengthener if your nails are thin and brittle hope this helps

Seriously, the seal tips is very important. I didn’t realize you were supposed to do that, and I have a habit of picking at my nails because they peel at the tips, making my nails weak and brittle. My friend told me to get topcoat and paint the tips too, because it protects that part of your nails too and will keep my nails from peeling and me from picking at it. I’ve followed her advice and I’ve noticed nail growth already!
