As a brimstone main that mainly uses judge op and odin, I can guarantee you that you can definitely climb the ladder even if you’re bad. I can’t aim at all and I still peaked immo2

instead of using auto respawn you can use phoenix’a ult, it looks a lot cleaner then trying to show something with auto respawn on

Bulldog really become my favorite after Vandal for long range

The first one helps a lot, I learn that trick myself, and it really helpful since it's hard to identify a gun when I'm still a beginner.

Oh trust me as a Dia 2 the Odin and judge still work perfectly idk about the specter tho.

Wait, how much better is the last one? Been having issues with footsteps and their actual location (hearing steps to my right, but really they're behind), so this would be huge if it helps with that!

Idk ma’am, it’s about adapting to your enemy’s thinking, camping in corners all the time is awful, but reading if your opponents are going to check it if there is cover or no reaction when they push onto you. Change it up and out each round. Don’t let them know your next move

2- I HEAVILY disagree about the gun thing. Why do people play phantom? "Because it's good." Why do people play Vandal? "Because it's good" ...but what make them good exactly? The playstyle that has been deemed as "good" by the community. In my eyes, there are no "bad" guns. You should find a gun that is more compatible to your playstyle (not the other way around tho). For example, I used to play a game style that I called "assault astra" in which I only played SMGs and shotguns, concentrating all my gameplay on surprise attacks, aggressive plays and movement (almost always moving when shooting as the guns I use are going to still be accurate, making me a harder target to hit). Sure, it was unorthodox, but it wasn't "bad" in anyways, it's just how I used to enjoy playing and getting better. As time passed, my gamestyle shifted towards postplant lineups with Viper (and sometimes KAY/O). I now mostly use the bulldog, as it is a nice mix of my old run 'n gun playstyle and a more slow and accurate playstyle. In close range situations I can still play it like a spectre, but I can now take long range duels with the burst fire, repositioning after each burst. There are "meta" playstyles. That's for sure. But there isn't a single gun in the game that is genuinely bad. You just need to find your own playstyle and adjust your guns to it. What if you like sova/Fade and want a playstyle around them? Ares, Odin, and Sheriff are going to be your best friends for the cheeky wallbangs when enemies are scanned.

Any gun works at a high level because of your utility

I agree, don't use the Odin, judge, or spectre. Instead, use the Ares, Bucky, and stinger. They get the job done at a cheaper price 😬👍

HRTF is completely optional. If it feels weird just dont use it. It felt really weird for me to use it and I still dont and I can hear and locate footsteps just fine

Here is my personal take on these tips as someone who has played for 600+ hours and still sucks :) 1. Unless its SUPER far away i can recognize most guns now with the skins but starting out i would have loved to know that. I also just often remember what guns certain enemies/allies had. 2. I have always known this and often change what I do unless im positive enemies are too clueless to counter it which could make for easy games. 3. I have never heard of this, though i have really good ears so I am usually fine might still try it out though. Also one tip that I would give is change your minimap to show the ENTIRE map instead of just your local area. This will allow you to get info your teammates are gathering allowing you to know how many enemies they saw and who they saw. I don't quite remember where the setting is but you could search it up.

Normally i want to ping the spike but ping a gun instead :/

Tbh I did sorta do this so I've started to try out Marshall or sniper weapons more since I didn't really wanna touch em because of how bad I was at it. Then again... I'm still hardstuck Bronze sooo... 😬

As a low rank player, whenever i see other low rank players scope in close range i cringe. i also used to limit myself to only the spectre but now i mostly use the guardian and phantom.

Hrtf is so unusable for me. I got used to the base audio settings. With hrtf on i cant accuratly pinpoint someones location.

i have the best tip you will ever hear in your entire valorant career. PLAY FOR FUN. IF ANYTHING DONT EVEN PLAY RANKED. what do you get from a cool high rank. dignity? ego? be able to flex? and none of those even matter. just play because its fun. dont play for anything else it just brings you down.

The middle mouse ping button never worked for me I had to set it up in settings. I rarely see judge and Odin used. I have a favorite in each category so I always have that option that I am confident

The 3rd one is kinda misleading because it HEAVILY depends on your drivers... I have a logitech headset and the surround drivers are much better and hrtf ruins it.

#2 is the reason 90% of players are hard-stuck. I can almost guarantee that one of your favorite things to do is very dumb and will only work at lower ranks (or will only work once in a match before the enemy adapts).

But... Those are powerful guns?

Ever since my I recommended my friend who just started to buy the stinger. He uses only the stinger. No weapons😞. And the worst part it that he top frags most of the time with a stinger !!!. He doesn’t even use anything no utility no strafing he just run and guns everyone I swear how is this working
