It’s day 24/30 of the spring Cleaning Spree! We are going to be cleaning our hard surface flooring today. When I say hard surface flooring I am referring to; LVP, tile, concrete, hardwood and natural stone. When it comes to all of these flooring types my first recommendation is to alway use a PH neutral floor cleaner. Today, I will be using the Ecolab No Rinse Neutral Floor Cleaner mixed into a spray bottle. I really like this cleaner because it not only cleans well, but does not leave any film or stickiness. (I also like Zep’s Nuetral PH Floor Cleaner, but just know, it cannot be used on hardwood floors.) After choosing the right cleaner, the next step is to sweep/vacuum/dust mop the loose dirt off the floor. This will save yourself from creating a muddy mess once that dry dirt mixes with your wet cleaner. Next, your tools you’ll be needing. Now, I really like a flat mop with multiple microfiber cloth heads. It makes it easy to change from a dirty head to a clean one, which is very important as to not end up spreading dirt around your home. (If you use a spin mop or traditional style, make sure to rinse in clean water frequently.) Another reason I like a flat mop paired with a spray bottle is that it’s easy to carry from one room to another. My favorite part of washing the floors is how fresh my home smells afterwards. How about you?
