Thanks a lot for the video! Honestly, Galaxis does not live up to my expectations. The scenes are where the fun should be, but the presets lack compared to synths like Korg Modwave and Wavestate. I would have loved to see new emulations of other Roland instruments (and a complete JD-800 for that matter) instead. The GUI is not that pleasing, the VST3 plugin easily overloads in Komplete Kontrol, requiring to use a 1024 buffer size to get rid of crackles and pops on an M2 Ultra. It remains to be seen how Roland copes with all of this and how good the AU version will be, but Galaxis is definitely not the plugin which makes me want to renew my Ultimate Membership.
Reminded me of when I tried to make a “new flavor” of soda pop when I was a kid, I started with sprite, and added a little orange, and of course a little rootbeer, and well next is cola, and whatever the unlabeled one was. I wish I would have learned my lesson then but it would be decades before a client came in one day with a tattoo request. He wanted this on his chest , and at first I thought of you minimalists are just dirty hipsters! I said “LESS IS NOT MORE, MORE IS MORE!!!!!” But I had some time to think it over and that ended up being one of my fav more meaningful tattoos I ever did. Cuz less IS more! 🙃
