Madden has got to fix the blocking system. Me hitting RT should not make my blockers stop blocking. Also if you want to be "good" go find some ridiculous broken defensive setup and have a couple route KOs. And on offense just run the same 6 or so different route combos. Being a pro Madden player is probably then most boring "professional" video gaming job ever. Just run the same crap over and over.

@@jonwayne93 so they made it an animation where some QBs will throw when diving when ur scrambling outta the pocket… but for some reason it very rarely happens and honestly wouldn’t be surprised if it was complete out of the game bc there’s been ZERO clips of that lately nor have I seen it when playing. Can you do video on how to be a better dline user I love usering the dline and sacking or pressuring the qb. To me that makes more of a difference than user the middle of the field

This is all stuff everyone knows. Also you do want to hold R if you’re rushing the edge and going for a soee rush around the outside and if it fails then you let go of it and do whatever power or finesse move you want and then hold it again once you where the block. In fact when you’re speed rushing the outside (like what edge threat ability helps with) the timing of when you hold R is super important you can’t just hold it before the snap you gotta time it with the snap. Same with when you’re trying to block FGs or punts. Although this is not confirmed but I’ve noticed when I’m playing against the ai I can hold it down pre snap and get off just as fast but when you do it vs another real player it gets you stuck on the block typically and that’s probably why you think that you can’t hold it. I actually am one of those assholes who user the D line most of the time when there isn’t a specific thing based on how my opponent is plying that requires me to user to stop. So I’m an expert on this as I’ve rushed who know how many 100,000s of snaps in my life. I invest most of my AP on dline too people don’t realize how big this can be because if you can get good pressure every single time with only 3 down linemen then you can blanket the field without sacrificing pressure. And so on most pass plays they hve like 1.5-2 seconds to throw the ball or they’re getting sacked and the way most people play they refuse to dink and dunk and are over aggressive and they can’t get any plays to develop. And I can choose formations that can stop run or pass and I can always put a spy if they’re escaping the pocket a lot. I know I’m off on a tangent but I feel like the d line for most people is way underutilized and with the right abilities and top players on d line with ai using them they are going to be twice as slow at the very best and way less consistent. Especially with only a 3 man rush not many people know this but it actually nerfs the ai block shedding ability. Basically the opposite of what it does hence you hold R while you’re running the ball. But if you play the line yourself and always go to the outside then you can’t get double teamed and with a light up unstoppable force you can literally get an insta shed every single down of the entire game and if they assign TEs to block then you just user the other side and if they block rb that only buys them like 0.5 seconds if that. I just feel like who you user in madden should be situational and unless I’m playing someone who keeps doing some very specific play that requires me to user someone in the backfield a very specific way that can’t be stopped by pre snap audibles or coach setting or ai in general nd you have to take control yourself, you get way more value out of usering your line if you hve right players and abilities. You also need to have the right guys in your backfield that can hold their own with right abilities and stats for you me scheme. I don’t spend any money on this game but for free I can afford a top tier defense and yes my offense I’m not gonn hve as good players but as long as you hve a good qb (I hve 99 mahomes) then you really don’t need top tier pass catchers or o linemen if you know what you’re doing skill is always 10/10 times (if you take luck out of the equation) going to overcome someone with a better team but less skill. Whereas on defense there’s only so much you can do if your it’s aren’t good enough they will find a good matchup or weakness and keep exploiting the limitations of your guys whether you’re giving them too much time in the pocket or your guys are getting beat or tricked in the backfield even if you’re calling all the right plays and adjustments. Hopefully someone found my rant useful to give them some new perspective

I play franchise with family every year I draft the greatest offensive line. I get abused by 80 DTS with 80 strength. Add the worst passing in Madden history and just do the math. And you know family run their mouth!
It’s not that the blockers disengage when u hit turbo it’s u out running the block what i usually do is tap L2 first then hit the whole it’s gonna make u slow down for a split second then u gone burst thru thank me later

Its the way the coding is. If u start sprinting the d line will disengage with the o linemen. There’s unfortunately no logical answer for it, it’s just the way the game is.
Here’s three better tips: 1. Don’t pay for new Madden releases. 2. Keep expectations low. EA does. 3. This trash game isn’t worth your frustration, so go ahead and free up more space on your console.

It’s the coding of the game. When holding RT players disengage. And technically u don’t always want to hit the hole as fast as possible. Sometimes u gotta be super patient. But also remember that it’s a video game and not everything can be realistic
