Awesome video. I usually shy away from painting people. But I agree they should be part of the environment. Also we each perceive a scene differently. You’ve said that before and it really made me feel peace over trying to capture exact details. Interesting that you say this about paint your own vision. I saw a watercolor painting the other day by a good artist. It was a nice landscape which I liked, but my eye went to a figure that was obviously added in a formulaic way (a method that seems common among watercolorists). At least for me, it detracted from an otherwise very nice painting. I decided at that moment that I would not paint figures that way. I once saw an artist demo showing a formula for making figures easy to paint. I hadn't used it, but all temptation dissolved after seeing the result of that silly-looking add-on.
