Hey lash artists!
Today we will be learning to take better lash pictures with our phones! Posting high quality pictures is one of the fastest ways to grow your lash clientele. Of course these pictures showcase your amazing work, but one thing people miss, is the quality of the picture itself. Your work can be a 10/10, yet if the pictures look like they were taken on a flip phone from the 2000's no one will appreciate your work.
Tip #1 - Lighting
Get bright lights that you can easily adjust. A dual light like the one in the my video is great. I can get rid of unwanted shadows at any angles. For yourself, just play around with the position of your light to get the best photo possible. After awhile you will learn what works best for you.
Tip #2 - Take Lots of Photos!
Professional photographers take thousands of photos to get the perfect shot, so why do we expect to get it right in a couple pictures without training?! Make sure to let your clients know that they look fabulous and you want to get the best picture possible to highlight your work. Most people will be okay with hanging around for an extra couple minutes to help you out.
Tip #3 - Before and After Photos
The best way to show potential clients you have the skills to do their eyelash extensions is with before and after shots. Make sure to take multiple angle before pictures and then use the same angles for your after pictures. Try taking photos from the same angles I show here in the video and try your own. Move the camera around, get close and be creative.
****Extra Tip - Clean your Camera Lens
Taking a good picture with a dirty lens is next to impossible. Take the time to clean your lens before you start snapping pictures, for the best chance at success.
